Today we’d like to introduce you to Bridgette Murphy
Hi Bridgette , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started sewing a little over 7 years ago right after having my youngest son. I had suffered from postpartum depression again but this time around I decided to pick up a hobby, sewing was something that always interest me but I never had the time; well this time, I made time and made my mental health a priority. Sewing became my positive outlet, my therapy! As I gained focus on embracing every beautiful thing about myself, I took that along with my new found love for sewing and this became my journey. I’ve gained confidence daily in my craft and within myself so why not share this new found love?! Merging Fashion and Mental Health, I call it being “Fashionably Conscious!” My Mission!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My biggest struggle that I’ve faced was dealing with and overcoming my social anxiety. This has been something I’ve dealt with since a small child, but I can say now since I have stepped outside of my comfort zone with my new found purpose, It has given me the confidence to meet new people, network, participate in shows and more. I’m continuing my healing process in the most healthiest way possible for me. With the goals I see for myself I know I’ll have to work hard to achieve this completely but I’m open to it! I say as long as you’re open to try you’ll keep making progress.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

The Designers: Bridgette Murphy of BBQue Closet Collection and Amie Hibbler of Trendy Figures, will take a stroll down memeory lane by showcasing two separate collections, along with one dual collection inspired by the momentum and energy of the 90s.
