Daily Inspiration: Meet Dionna “Dee Marie” Latimer (The Sisterhood Circle Show)

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dionna “Dee Marie” Latimer (The Sisterhood Circle Show).

Hi Dionna “Dee Marie”, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
The Sisterhood Circle Show was born from what seemed like a simple getaway—but became something much deeper.

It all started when Kira Cheree Cobb, one of our hosts, put out a call to about 15 women to attend a women’s conference out of town. In the end, only five of us answered that call: Kira, Dr. Dawn Richards, Sally Desu, Jennifer McClure, and me—Dionna “Dee Marie” Latimer. We didn’t know then how much that decision would change our lives.

During those three days away, we bonded in a way none of us expected. We laughed, cried, and supported one another. We walked into that weekend as individuals and came back home as sisters.

Then something happened that none of us saw coming. Just a day or two after we returned, Sally—another one of our hosts—tragically lost her son. It shook us all. And yet, out of that grief, our sisterhood grew even stronger. We rallied around Sally. Saturdays became the day we gathered for prayer and support. What started as a spontaneous friendship turned into a sacred, intentional space for healing and connection. We kept this up for over two years.

One day, during one of our many conversations, Kira casually mentioned how great it would be to share our sisterhood on a podcast. As the producer of Be The Voice Podcast, I (Dee Marie) lit up. It sparked something. “Why not have our own show?” I said. We started dreaming—something like The View, but with our voices, our stories, our hearts.

Not long after, we connected with Andre Holman from AH! TV Network—and The Sisterhood Circle Show was born.

It was built from loss. From love. From the sacred knowing that women need one another to navigate life’s highs and lows. Our bond was real, and we believed other women needed to see that kind of connection—to feel seen, heard, and supported.

So we took our private Sisterhood and made it public. And now, we share our Circle with the world.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Of course, one of the most difficult parts of The Sisterhood Circle Show was that our bond began with the heartbreaking loss of Jeremiah Desu, Sally’s son. A great deal of support, love, and healing took place long before the show ever aired—and it continues to this day. We dedicated our very first episode to Jeremiah, honoring his memory and the impact his life had on us as sisters. It also gave Sally the opportunity to keep his memory alive and share with the world just how amazing he truly was.

The production of The Sisterhood Circle Show came with its own set of challenges. This was our first time doing anything like this. We had questions, nerves, excitement, anxiety—you name it. But when we hosted our live launch and over 140 people showed up, we realized how important this assignment truly is. Looking out at a room full of beautiful women reminded us that every challenge was worth it—and that our mission to uplift, support, and share stories of sisterhood is needed now more than ever.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
The Sisterhood Circle Show is a talk show that creates a safe, empowering space for real conversations among women. Hosted by five dynamic women—Dee Marie, Kira Cheree, Dr. Dawn, Sally, and Jen—the show tackles the issues, triumphs, and truths that women face every day.

Rooted in authentic sisterhood, the show blends heartfelt storytelling with thought-provoking discussions. Topics range from healing after loss, navigating relationships, mental health, self-care, purpose, faith, and everything in between. Whether joyful or challenging, each conversation is designed to uplift, inspire, and remind women that they are not alone.

What makes The Sisterhood Circle Show unique is its foundation: a real-life bond formed through shared experiences and sustained through love, prayer, and mutual support. That sincerity shines through on screen, inviting viewers to not just watch, but to feel seen, heard, and valued.

It’s more than a show—it’s a movement of healing, hope, and sisterhood.

“Come Sit Where The Conversation is Different!”

What makes you happy?
What brings us the most joy is including our viewers as part of The Circle. While there are five of us on the show, we intentionally sit in a half-circle—because we are only part of it. The circle isn’t complete without YOU, our viewers. The feedback we’ve received from our extended circle has been incredible—like being part of a national support group. We feel truly blessed to have a platform where we can let our hair down, show up as our authentic selves, and come together in a space where we all feel seen, heard, and understood.
