Hidden Gems: Meet Christina Darin of Regenerative Health and Chiropractic, LTD

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Darin.

Hi Christina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am just a small town girl who was in a multitude of auto accidents as a teenager and found relief through the drug-free world of Chiropractic. From the age of 12 until about 22 I was involved in roughly 10 motor vehicle accidents as simple as minor fender benders to rolling end over end in a big SUV not wearing a seatbelt. Having experienced pain at a young age, I sought out medical care and received little help or answers. Fast forward to being 20 years old and learning from an instructor in massage school (which I was attending at the time) professor about Chiropractic and the potential of correcting problems without drugs or surgery. I graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2008 and started my own practice. Almost 18 years later my office has moved locations and grown substantially. We have multiple providers on staff including 2 Chiropractor, a Medical Collaborating Physician and a Physician’s Assistant specializing in sports med and orthopedic conditions. We grew from a small office of 900 sqft with one provider and one staff member doing strictly Chiropractic to a 3500 sqft building employing 10 staff members with 3 treating providers. Our services have expanded greatly on the chiropractic/physical therapy side as well as the gambit of medical services that we can now provide.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road. Marketing and building a practice take a lot of work. Hiring and training quality staff and maintaining a good strong ethical team requires constant and consistent training and communication. Insurance reimbursements decline every year, and rules change all of the time. When it comes to staff you have to have the right people in the right places and personality types vary and don’t always mesh.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
We are an integrated physical medicine office with 2 chiropractors, and a physician’s assistant on staff. We have on site digital x-ray, acupuncture and dry needling, corrective care treatment plans including active and passive modalities, We offer neuropathy treatment, allergy testing and treatments, medical weight loss, trigger point and steroid injections, hyaluronic acid injections for arthritic knees, and sports physicals.
