Hi Rachel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I began on the wellness path many years ago starting with being a young girl who was always known for being “woowoo.” I grew up fascinated and in love with herbs, crystals and plants, animals, etc. My mother used to have me listen to people like Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra, and all of this combined to put me on my path of wellness and wholeness. For many years my career was as a Shorthand Reporter for the Courts of Cook County, however, I knew I desired more in life. I desired to be of service, to help others, to be a “healer.” I began training in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and it opened up many other doors to me, including Reiki and Yoga and then Life Coaching. I began my Usui Reiki path in 2013 and completed my Usui Reiki Master Training in 2015 and began teaching in 2018. I also became a certified Yin Yoga Instructor in 2017 and began teaching that as well. As a result of beginning down these paths, particularly Reiki, life began “lifing.” It was almost like in saying yes, I want this, the Universe was like “oh yeah? Let’s see how much.” I went through a journey of deep energetic clearing and cleansing, of obstacles and hurdles, and now when I teach I call it the “path of purification.” It ultimately opened me, clearing out people, places and circumstances that were not in alignment and opened me to renewed and expanded desires and opportunities. I traveled for a while, including to India a few times to be with friends and that opened my mind and heart even more. When COVID began and the Courts closed, I made the ultimate decision to go out on my own and begin my business, Radiant Reiki & Yoga Inc. It hasn’t been easy but it has been such a ride and a joy and here we are!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As with anything in life, the path has not been easy. I’ve been blessed to have always had some support and a loving tribe; and even with that, the personal challenges like the death of my mother, moving, financial hurdles, and the obstacles with Self have arisen from time to time. I’ve, like anyone, struggled with feelings of self sabotage, unworthiness, being too much, people pleasing; in fact, all the things I have supported my clients with have all arisen in me at some point in time. I believe all healing begins with the Self so it’s no surprise. The road has not always been easy, but it has definitely gotten smoother and more abundant.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well, my work is, at this time, mostly virtual and centers around creating sacred spaces for transformation, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. As a certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Spiritual Life Coach and Yin Yoga Instructor, I’ve spent almost a decade guiding women particularly, into deeper alignment, clarity and empowerment through energy work, ritual, and intentional self growth. My brand, as the Radiant Reiki Goddess, specializes in high-touch, luxury Reiki experiences, from private sessions, Reiki certification classes and attunements, all offered in person and virtually, to deep transformational coaching containers. I’m known for my intuitive approach, my ability to read and shift energy with precision and the way my sessions blend spirituality, grounded mindset work, and emotional re-calibration. What sets my work apart is the depth. I don’t just offer Reiki, I offer an experience: a refined energetic journey rooted in ancient practices and tailored to each person’s inner landscape. I truly believe in Reiki. I believe it is not just a tool but a way of life that when embodied can lead to boundless awareness, peace, clarity, confidence and happiness. My approach is warm, intuitive, feminine and high-frequency. I guide women through releasing emotional heaviness, reconnecting with their own power, and building lives that feel aligned with their soul’s truth, doing it from a place of openness, honesty and awareness. Brand wise, I’m most proud of the level of transformation my clients experience, often within a single session. Many arrive overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and leave feeling lighter, clearer and more open to possibility. Don’t give up. Be gentle with yourself. Consistency is key, as is courage. Don’t try and do it all yourself, have a support system, even if it’s only a couple of people who will listen and cheer you on. And you don’t need all the bells and whistles when starting, just be authentic, sincere, real and your people will find you.
