Hi Alexis , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Alexis. I am a mother of two beautiful children and the wife of a wonderful husband. Before I discovered my purpose, I remember sitting in my bedroom, with my newborn daughter in my hand, staring at the laundry in my bedroom corner, the dishes in my room, the crumbs on my carpet floor, and just thinking to myself, what would this look like If I didn’t have help. What was just a thought for me, is the reality for someone else. There are mothers that really do not have help. In that moment. The Clean Queen arose. I jumpstarted this business out of the passion for not just families, but women who need help navigating the most overwhelming seasons of their lives. Motherhood. The Clean Queen Services specializes in preparing homes for newborns and providing ongoing cleaning support during postpartum, so that moms can focus on what’s really important. Rest, bonding and recovery. Our mission is to create a safe, clean, and comforting space for all families. That moment in my bedroom years ago, was the moment I knew I had to pull others out of theirs. I am The Clean Queen. “Where clean homes, Welcome new beginnings.” Today, The Clean Queen Services is actively servicing multiple families and moms across the St. Louis and surrounding areas. We aim to expand to other cities reaching a growing network of more women and impacting more lives, one home at a time.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall, the journey has been smooth. Thankfully, we have not stumbled across many issues, however if we had to pinpoint a few – I’d say the biggest issue we have faced would be hiring. Finding someone who cares about the families and the vision the way that The Clean Queen does. Another struggle we have faced is understanding our audience and our niche and being able to say “no” to anything that may not align with that.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Clean Queen Services, LLC is a St. Louis based residential cleaning company, dedicated to helping new, expectant, and postpartum mothers enjoy peace of mind in a clean, safe, and welcoming home. We specialize in providing tailored cleaning services that prepare homes for the arrival of a new baby and ongoing support to keep households running smoothly during recovery. We are known for lifting the burden of housework so families (mothers) can focus on what matters most, rest, bounding, and recovery. We are “Where clean homes welcome new beginnings.” We are most proud of being a trusted name in many households. We have built a business that genuinely serves women during one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives. I didn’t just create a cleaning service; I created a support system. What sets us apart is we approach cleaning as emotional care, not just a task. Our services are intentionally designed around mental wellness, and trust. We also do not use regular cleaning products from your local stores. We went the extra mile by incorporating nontoxic cleaning products from Melaleuca, ensuring the health and wellbeing of the clients in which we service.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The most important quality I feel is the most important to my success is my consistency rooted in empathy. I consistently show up for my clients with the same level of care and professionalism every visit, and that consistency is driven by a genuine understanding of how much a clean and organized home impacts a mother’s mental health and well-being. That combination has helped me build trust, retain clients, and grow through referrals. I believe this will continue to bring much success to my business, as well as allow me opportunity to reach more moms around the world!
