We recently had the chance to connect with Jamean Flowers and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Jamean, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
I am chasing financial freedom the ability to provide stability for myself and my family, to break generational cycles of lack, and to intentionally build generational wealth. This pursuit is rooted in responsibility, not greed.
If I stopped, progress would stop. There is no safety net behind me no inherited wealth, no investors, no financial shortcuts. Everything I am building is the result of discipline, resilience, and consistent hard work. Continuing forward isn’t optional; it’s necessary to create the life and legacy I am committed to leaving.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jamean Flowers, and I’m the founder of Kidz Play STL, a St. Louis based luxury mobile creative experience and soft play rental brand. We design elevated, hands-on activations that allow children to create, explore, and celebrate through thoughtfully curated craft bars, sensory experiences, and premium soft play setups.
What makes Kidz Play unique is our attention to detail, intentional design, and focus on meaningful, high-quality experiences. From custom keepsakes to modern soft play installations, every event is created to feel polished, immersive, and memorable. The brand itself is built through discipline, faith, and consistency without outside funding driven by a mission to break generational cycles and create lasting impact for my family and community. I’m currently focused on expanding our offerings and continuing to redefine what luxury children’s events look like in St. Louis and beyond.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Definitely my mom. She was a single mother of three who led by example pursuing higher education, earning her master’s degree, and becoming a licensed therapist while raising our family. She broke generational cycles before me and was the first in her immediate family to graduate from college. Today, she’s not only an incredible professional but an even better grandmother. Watching her persevere with integrity, discipline, and faith shaped my work ethic and showed me what’s possible through consistency and purpose.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering taught me resilience, humility, and unwavering faith. It showed me how to keep moving forward without validation, resources, or guarantees and how to lead with integrity even when no one is watching. Success can reward effort but suffering builds character. It taught me patience, discernment, and how to trust God and myself in seasons where the outcome wasn’t clear.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that my faith, my daughter, and my integrity matter most to me. They’d also say I care deeply about building a life rooted in purpose doing meaningful work, showing up for the people I love, and creating stability and opportunity not just for myself, but for my family and community. Everything I do is intentional, and I try to move through life with honesty, loyalty, and heart.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
The attention to detail and the fact that I treat every event like it’s my own child’s party. They’d miss the perfectly curated setups, the calm in the chaos energy, and probably my “no worries, I’ve got it” reassurance when parents are stressed. And let’s be honest they’d miss someone who shows up early, stays late, and somehow makes a room full of kids, crafts, and balloons look effortless.
