Rising Stars: Meet Aron Stein of St. Louis surrounding area

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aron Stein.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey in healthcare began over a decade ago, working in home care and urgent care settings where I focused on improving patient outcomes through compassionate, individualized support.

My passion for serving the neurodivergent community is deeply personal. Growing up with a neurodiverse brother gave me firsthand insight into the challenges families face and the life-changing impact the right support can make. That experience inspired me to advocate for clearer, more accessible, and higher-quality care.

Founding Shining Steps ABA was a natural extension of that mission. We are committed to delivering personalized, in-home ABA therapy that empowers families, removes barriers, and helps individuals integrate fully into their communities. I truly believe that with the right support, every individual can reach their full potential.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been navigating a system that can feel overwhelming and fragmented for families. From insurance hurdles to staffing shortages in the ABA field, there are real barriers that make access to quality care difficult.

Starting and growing a practice in a competitive market also comes with its own challenges, building trust, recruiting the right team, and never compromising on quality while expanding.

On a personal level, balancing leadership with the emotional weight of serving families in crisis can be demanding. But each obstacle has reinforced why this work matters. The challenges have only strengthened my commitment to creating a service that families can rely on.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As the founder of Shining Steps ABA, my role is to ensure we deliver structured, evidence-based in-home ABA therapy with strong clinical oversight. I focus on building clear systems, from intake and assessment to treatment planning and supervision, so families receive quality care.

I specialize in operations, quality control, and making sure our services are both effective and ethical. I’m known for being detail-oriented and hands-on, especially when it comes to maintaining high standards.

What I’m most proud of is building an organization that runs efficiently without losing sight of the families we serve. What sets us apart is our balance of strong clinical structure and practical, real-world support.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Consistency. In this field, real progress doesn’t come from big promises; it comes from showing up every day, following through, and holding high standards. Staying consistent in our care, communication, and expectations has been the foundation of our success.
