Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Oestreich.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My wife and I both worked corporate jobs for the first part of our careers. We worked for great companies and with a bunch of great people, but wanted to build something of our own that we could pass along to our kids. We had owned our own hot tub for many years and loved the way it brought our family together and wanted to share that with others.
We’ve owned the business for just over two years now and have loved the experience. We have built a great team that is bought into the culture and work everyday to create the best experience for our customers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There was very limited staff when we took over and some of the key employees were getting ready to retire. We had to bring in some new people and get them up to speed quickly to ensure operations continued without any interruption. Additionally, much of the business was concentrated in hot tub sales but we were doing very little of hot tub related services: repair, water care, cover replacement, etc. We’ve made a concerted effort to expand that portion of the business while keeping the hot tub sales stable.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
St. Louis Hot Tub Warehouse has been selling new and used hot tubs and related services for over 40 years. We operate out of warehouse and sell hot tub brands that are known for being a good value for your dollar and are well supported by the manufacturer. This allows us to pass on savings onto our customers so they can get the highest quality hot tub for the best price.
Our relationship with our customers doesn’t end when we deliver the hot tub, we also provide repair services for the entire St. Louis metro area and will work on any make and model to help customers extend the life of their investment.
