Meet Candice Cherry of St. Louis, Missouri

Today we’d like to introduce you to Candice Cherry.

Hi Candice, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hello! My name is Candice and I am the founder/Chief Jeweled Officer of The Queens’ Jewels.

I’ve always believed that if you’re going to build something, it should be something people have never seen before. That’s exactly what inspired me to start The Queens’ Jewels in 2014. I am the visionary behind The Queens’ Jewels known for its stunning, hand-crafted jeweled glassware and drinkware. With a passion for creativity and an eye for elegance, I founded this business with a mission to bring sparkle to every occasion.

As the creative force behind the brand, I designed a unique process for attaching jeweled embellishments to glassware, ultimately earning a patent and launching what has become the original jeweled wine glass brand. What started as a single idea quickly grew into a passion for creating products that are as meaningful as they are beautiful.

Building a business from the ground up has been one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my life. In the beginning, I did it all. Currently, I am still designing products, handcrafting every jewel to each glass, packing orders, selling to retailers, attending trade shows, and learning every aspect of running a business. Those early years taught me resilience, creativity, and the importance of believing in your vision even when others can’t see it yet.

Today, The Queens’ Jewels is carried by many retailers across the country, and our handcrafted collections have been featured on Good Morning America, The View, Live with Kelly & Ryan, and other national television programs. Despite that growth, we’re still proudly handcrafting our products in St. Louis, Missouri, and staying true to the quality and originality that built our brand.

Looking back, I’m most proud that we’ve remained authentic. My mission has never been just to sell glassware, it’s been to create products that bring people together, celebrate life’s special moments, and remind women that every day is worth raising a beautiful glass. I hope my journey encourages other entrepreneurs to trust their ideas, embrace the hard work, and never be afraid to create something truly original.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t think any entrepreneur would say the road has been completely smooth, and mine certainly hasn’t. Building a business from the ground up comes with constant challenges, especially when you’re creating something entirely new.

In the beginning, one of the biggest obstacles was simply getting people to believe in my vision. I had invented a product that didn’t exist, so I had to educate retailers and customers on why handcrafted jeweled glassware was different and why it belonged in the gift market. There were plenty of moments of self-doubt, long days, and sleepless nights, but I never lost sight of the bigger picture.

Like many small business owners, I’ve also faced economic uncertainty, supply chain disruptions, changing consumer trends, and the everyday challenges of running a manufacturing business. There have been times when I’ve had to make difficult decisions, pivot quickly, and learn lessons the hard way. Every obstacle has forced me to become more creative, more resourceful, and more determined.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that success doesn’t happen overnight. It’s built through consistency, perseverance, and a willingness to keep moving forward even when things don’t go as planned. Looking back, I’m actually grateful for the challenges because they’ve shaped both me and The Queens’ Jewels into what we are today.

If there’s one thing I hope other entrepreneurs take away from my journey, it’s that setbacks don’t mean you’re on the wrong path. They’re simply part of building something worthwhile. The key is to stay true to your vision, keep learning, and never give up.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As the founder and Chief Jeweled Officer of The Queens’ Jewels, I have the privilege of combining creativity with entrepreneurship every day. While many people know us for our jeweled wine glasses, what I really do is create products that help people celebrate life’s moments; whether it’s a birthday, wedding, holiday, girls’ night, or simply enjoying a glass of wine after a long day.

I specialize in designing handcrafted glassware and drinkware that is both functional and beautiful. Every collection begins with an idea, and I love turning those ideas into products that tell a story. From sketching new concepts to selecting the perfect jewel, I’m involved in the creative process from start to finish. Because we handcraft every piece in our St. Louis warehouse, quality and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we make.

One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is earning a U.S. patent for our jeweled attachment process. It was important to me not only to create something beautiful but also something truly original. That innovation helped establish The Queens’ Jewels as the original jeweled wine glass brand and laid the foundation for the company we have today.

I’m also incredibly proud that what started as a single idea has grown into a nationally recognized brand carried by more than many retailers across the country and featured on Good Morning America, The View, and Live with Kelly & Mark. Those milestones are exciting, but what means the most to me is hearing from customers who tell us our glassware has become part of their celebrations and traditions.

I believe what sets The Queens’ Jewels apart is that we never lost sight of who we are. We continue to handcraft our products in the USA, we design with originality instead of following trends, and we genuinely care about creating pieces that people treasure for years. In a world of mass production, I think there’s something special about making products with heart, craftsmanship, and a little extra sparkle.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
I think the quality that has contributed most to my success is having the confidence to trust my instincts and pursue a vision.

When I started The Queens’ Jewels, there wasn’t a market for handcrafted jeweled glassware. I was creating something entirely new. That meant taking risks, believing in my ideas, and staying committed to my vision even when the outcome was uncertain.

I’m also someone who genuinely loves to create. My mind is always thinking about the next design, the next collection, or the next opportunity to surprise our customers. That curiosity and passion have kept our brand evolving while staying true to what makes us unique.

I’ve learned that success isn’t about trying to be like everyone else. It’s about having the courage to be different, trusting your creativity, and building something you’re truly proud of. If you stay authentic and keep your focus on creating value, the right opportunities have a way of finding you.
