Rising Stars: Meet Eric Brown of St Louis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric Brown.

Hi Eric, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Music chose me at the age of 8 years old when I told my mother I wanted to play the drums and she insisted I played that saxophone. I transitioned from playing the saxophone to the piano by learning the keys and later understanding the scales. One day while staying the summer over my father’s house he introduced me to a program called fruity loops at the time FL Studio now, but everything grew and started from that point on. I used music as a catalyst to alchemize my pain and solitude as a child to constructively express my inner self outwardly; and I’m continuing to do so each and every day I continue to make and express myself through music.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No I suffered from major imposter syndrome because I never really understood how talented I was. I just was doing what I was born to do. There will be naysayers but they too also know that I’m really good because why would you need to say I’m not if I already weren’t? If you catch my drift. So self doubt also creeps in and those times where you think about giving up also creep in., but it’s the love of Music that keeps me going. I just want and can’t wait to hear my next hit song or hit ep. Listening back is also a joy because I get to see where and how far I’ve come, as well as where I may have drifted off or away. How much hunger I have now compared to my past self.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My name is Eric Terrell Brown, and I produce music from thin air sorta of like a painter starting with that of a blank canvas. I use speakers and DAWs to paint my picture both digitally and using the aether which is frequency and air combined. I’m known for my Angelic Synesthesiac Sonic Sense. I am able to see sound allowing me to be able to master music, frequecy, and air on another level molecularly. What I’m most proud of is finding my talent early and allowing God to further bless my skills to match my talents. My faith is what sets me apart from others. I’m still doing it alone, but atleast I’m still doing it, and for myself and now I know which ones to bless along the way back up.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me are the people who had my back when I was down. Loyalty and Love you can’t put a price on and certain family members have honored me in ways I cannot repay. Family isn’t always blood or those you grew up with, but those loyal to you in the struggle. My Mom and Uma are warrior women queens, they always had my back.
