Rising Stars: Meet Blake And Trish Alvey-Pugh of St Louis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake And Trish Alvey-Pugh.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We spent years in retail management before we became “stylists.” The goal has always been about the same thing: watching someone put on the right thing and stand differently because of it. Fashion meeting confidence. In 2019, we started pulling creatives together in Dallas, mostly test shoots with local models, photographers, and friends. Our real break came in St. Louis, when Mother Model took a chance on us. That relationship has helped catapult us forward, and we’ve been building AlveyPugh ever since.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been smooth, and we wouldn’t want it to be. The real struggle has been balancing this passion with everything else — being parents, working jobs outside of styling, building new connections in a new city. But we don’t let anything stop us. We keep moving forward. The push-pull of life is what builds strength, tenacity, and grit. We appreciate the journey.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We handle everything — concept, pulls, fittings, on-set styling. We’re known for taking risks and building shapes out of fabric rather than playing it safe. We’re proud of what we’ve built, especially knowing we couldn’t have gotten here without Mother Model believing in us early on.What sets us apart is that we’re authentic, we respect the people we work with, and it’s obvious how much we love what we do.

What does success mean to you?
For us, success is getting to do this every day: creatively fulfilled, without sacrificing our life outside of it. It’s proving you can build a real life around a creative career, and showing others that’s possible too. We love pouring into people, empowering them. When you can throw yourself fully into your craft, you’re living the most authentic version of yourself, and to us that’s real success.
