Meet Jordan Franks of St Louis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Franks.

Hi Jordan , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
A good snack one day turned into a major idea. The journey is spiritual. The people we’ve come across. The stories we’ve heard and the lives we’ve touched. It’s always funny how one tiny moment can spark a journey of never ending possibilities.
This is a family recipe that we wanted to share with friends. Now we’re making friends all across St. Louis with our amazing story, flavors and offerings. Something more than just an item on the grocery list, but a story of love, passion and vision. Inspired by the thought that we could create something amazing, share it with the world and leave a legacy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. But with greatness come test. Creating and building something from the ground up brings challenges. With vision comes adversity. It’d be easy to speak to the challenges it takes to build a business without the family trust or assets to leverage, but that’s what makes this so special. It’s building with just a dream. A vision. Visions typically reveal what is possible. It subtly braces you for the unseen, but never reveals the actual path and road. The road is not smooth but a smooth road doesn’t prepare you for the bumps. The bumps remind and prepare for the unseen.
Entering the multi-billion dollar food and CPG industry without a roadmap takes grit, tenacity and the courage to fail. The endeavor at times seems insurmountable, yet believing in the vision revealed to you, in many ways, prepares you for the journey ahead.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’d prefer not to put myself in a box. I’ve learned that I’m capable of doing anything I put my mind to. I reflect on being a first generation college graduate and entrepreneur. I reflect on all I’ve done to prepare for this challenge when I didn’t even know was I preparing. I SORT of followed a path of what was expected. The challenge about being first generation is what’s expected is not always clear and frankly very minimal at times. Every area of my life gave me exactly what is needed to embark on this mission.
I’m most proud that I am accountable and open to correction. I enjoy my efforts to be the best version of myself even if at times I was not. While I believe we are all human, bleeding the same blood, what makes me a bit different is my desire to learn and improve. Learn about people and their experiences. Somehow find a way to see myself in them and connect with their journey.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
That’s a tough question. As I reflect on life, I shuffle between the not-so-good memories and what I thought, at the time, “good memories”. To fully live my vision, I contemplate the impact of all the moments of my life, good and bad. I use this to examine and redefine my memories to understand how they created the person I am today and to shift my paradigm.
I’m more focused on organizing and fully understanding my childhood rather than ranking my “favorite” times. I appreciate life and all that comes with it, so even the bad moments offer a memory to reflect on.
