Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Wagner.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Like many small businesses, Freshly Pressed started with a simple idea and a passion for creating quality products. What began as a side hobby quickly grew into something much bigger as friends, family, local schools, sports organizations, and businesses began asking for custom apparel and promotional products.
From the beginning, my goal has always been to provide more than just printed shirts. I wanted to build a business that people could rely on for quality, creativity, and exceptional customer service. As demand grew, I continued investing in new equipment, expanding our product offerings, and learning new techniques so we could produce everything from custom apparel and embroidery to banners, yard signs, decals, promotional products, and team stores—all in-house.
Today, Freshly Pressed is proud to serve schools, youth sports organizations, local businesses, nonprofits, and families throughout the Metro East and surrounding communities. One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been becoming a trusted partner for organizations that are making a difference in our community. Whether it’s outfitting an entire football program, helping a local business build its brand, or creating a custom gift for a special occasion, every order matters to us.
The road hasn’t always been easy, but every challenge has been an opportunity to grow. I’m incredibly grateful for the customers and community who have supported Freshly Pressed over the years. Their trust has allowed us to continue expanding while staying true to the values we started with: quality workmanship, honest service, and treating every customer like family.
As we continue to grow, our mission remains the same—to help businesses, organizations, and individuals bring their ideas to life with products they’re proud to wear, display, and share.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any small business, the journey hasn’t always been smooth. One of the biggest challenges is navigating the seasonal ups and downs. There are times of the year when business naturally slows, and those periods can be stressful. Instead of waiting for things to pick back up, I’ve learned to shift gears, get creative, and focus on strengthening relationships with my customers.
During slower seasons, I reach out to my loyal customers and the community that has supported Freshly Pressed from the beginning. I offer special promotions, introduce new products, and look for ways to provide even more value. Those slower months have taught me the importance of planning ahead, adapting to changing demand, and never becoming complacent.
Running a small business requires flexibility, persistence, and a willingness to keep learning. Every challenge has made me a better business owner and has reinforced how important customer relationships truly are. The continued support from our community is what has allowed Freshly Pressed to grow, and I never take that for granted.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Freshly Pressed ?
Freshly Pressed is a locally owned custom apparel and promotional products company built on the belief that every customer deserves quality products, personal service, and attention to detail. We specialize in custom apparel, embroidery, DTF printing, banners, yard signs, decals, promotional products, spirit wear, and online team stores for schools, businesses, nonprofits, and sports organizations.
What truly sets us apart is that we don’t see our customers as just another order—we see them as partners. We take the time to understand each customer’s vision and help bring it to life, whether it’s creating a single personalized gift or outfitting an entire organization. We pride ourselves on being responsive, dependable, and delivering products that we’re proud to put our name on.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the relationships we’ve built within our community. Supporting local schools, youth sports organizations, churches, small businesses, and charitable events has become one of the most rewarding parts of owning Freshly Pressed. There’s something special about seeing our work worn on Friday nights in the stands, displayed at community events, or helping a local business grow its brand.
We’re also constantly investing in new equipment, technology, and products so we can continue offering our customers more options without sacrificing quality. Our goal is to be a one-stop shop for custom branding, making the ordering process easy while producing products that people are excited to wear and share.
At the end of the day, Freshly Pressed is about more than printing shirts—it’s about helping businesses, organizations, and families celebrate milestones, build their identity, and create lasting impressions. We want every customer to leave feeling like they’re part of the Freshly Pressed family, and we hope our passion for quality and customer service shows in every project we create.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The custom apparel and promotional products industry continues to evolve with new technology, faster production methods, and an ever-growing demand for personalized products. I believe we’ll continue to see more businesses, schools, and organizations looking for custom solutions that help them stand out and build their brand.
As the industry grows over the next 5–10 years, my hope is that Freshly Pressed grows right along with it—but without losing the small-business values that got us here. I never want to become a company where customers feel like they’re just another order number. I want people to know they can call, or text and they’ll be working with someone who knows them, understands their needs, and is committed to delivering quality products with quick turnaround times.
Technology will continue to improve what we can create, but I believe relationships will always be our greatest advantage. My goal is to embrace new innovations while maintaining the personal service, trust, and reliability that our customers have come to expect. At the end of the day, I want Freshly Pressed to continue growing without ever losing the hometown feel that has made our business successful.
