Today we’d like to introduce you to CT Finesse.
Hi CT, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m an independent
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, upcoming artist by the stage name, CT Finesse, an unstoppable
force on track to change the rap game. Having been influenced by family who listened to
old-school rap as well as new, from a young age, he was no stranger to the comforts music can
provide. In 2018, Boss Homeys, which consisted of myself and my blood cousin, Boss Homey
Hero, formed. Together we released a few tracks on YouTube, including “Fleek” and “All
Gas No Brakes”. Furthermore, we both opened up for Kodak Black at the Pageant in St. Louis
in 2019. After the unfortunate passing of Boss Homey Hero in 2021, CT Finesse woke up. After
realizing he needed to step up, to be the man to provide for his family and community, as well as
to fulfill the dream that he and his cousin began, he met his current manager and fully immersed
himself in music, full-throttle.
His connection to music formed because of the therapeutic healing it often provides to many
people. Growing up, the comfortability of opening up was not always present. As a natural
writer, music became an outlet for him to release his emotions, vocalizing his thoughts by the
comfort of his own sound. The message he wishes to provide to his audience is absolute
transparency, to curate a pathway to relate to those of all kinds, no matter the surface context. His
hometown is frequently touched upon within his songs as a painted picture of the real-life
incidents and struggles he’s witnessed. When it comes to CT Finesse, it should be known that the
curtains will not be shut.
Inspired by the explicit honesty of major artists such as Kevin Gates, Lil Durk, and Meek Mill,
CT Finesse prides himself on true stories through various genres of rap. In 2021, he dropped his
album, “Birth of a Bastard”, which is available on all major listening platforms. Earlier this year,
he released his project, “Bosshomey Way (Heroes Never Die)”, as a salute to his departed
cousin, as well as a feature on the remix of single “FNF Let’s GO” by artist BurnaMaleik.
Currently on an elevated stage of growth, his sound has since proven its versatility. In October of
2022, he is set to release his single, “Set The Record Straight”, as well as an accompanying
music video. In addition,His
aspiration comes largely due to his commitment for his city, for it to be recognized for its layers
underneath and to show tribute to the other talented artists in St. Louis. Ultimately, he always
stresses to “focus on your motion”, as in he believes he cannot get ahead in the game by the sole . CT Finesse has way more to come with documenting his life on social media giving people a direct insight on what he sees , feels and goes through all while being a single father to his baby girl. His daughters mother tragically passed away at the end of 2025 leaving behind they’re precious daughter who he fully intends to raise and carry all while managing to thrive and strive through the music gateway. CT Finesse has also been receiving roles and scripts in upcoming movies in the making of the upcoming years.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road is never smooth , I believe hard times and bumps in the road builds character and without them we could all possibly be the same. So instead of dwelling on the down side I tend to use it as motivation to spring forward or giving great effort knowing that greatness is just around the corner. Struggles come in all shapes and sizes weather its, Mental struggles in figuring out what it is to be a man, fatherhood, great health, life in general. But just like there is a down side there’s an upside and I use it to my advantage by working out gym fitness is a great outlet for me to release negativity just as well as venting on a song in the studio its a healthy balance for me and it helps me appreciate the little things in life that we may take for granted.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Im a Artist that does music from Hip-Hop to Melodic Rap , I specialize in speaking on reality or painting direct visual pictures on what its like to be in situations that alot of people face day to day or feelings that they may have towards themselves or others. I’m known for great visuals be it snippets, reels and actual music videos along with the music to display what’s going on. I’m most proud of my relentlessness and my transparency they keep me going because I see great progress and the new fans I received and people who are engaging with my content and music. I believe my versatility from Melodic to actual hip hop to my charisma that I display all while being organically me on and off camera . I take pride in being myself all day everyday. I don’t have a switch that I turn on to put on a act I’m myself through and through and I notice people can resonate with who I am more then putting on a act to be something or someone I’m not.
