Conversations with Angela Merridith

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Merridith.

Hi Angela, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The idea started with the birth of my one and only daughter, my Ebonee Angel . After years of procrastination I became more focused on actually making some moves. This journey has been one of trials, errors, lessons and blessings.I definitely jumped out there having more passion than knowledge about entrepreneurship. But still I rise. Just launched my brand new website and I’m reaching out to expand my business out side of the boutiques here in St. Louis although I am very appreciative of them rocking with Ebonee Angel for years. I am where I am today because my greeting cards are “ More Than Just A Card.” They express our stories in poetic form that speak to the soul. My cards are a whole vibe featuring beautiful art reflecting our images, our love, our life. Hard work, consistency and sheer passion keeps me going.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a spontaneous Aries I have been known to jump out there and worry about it after the leap. So no, the road definitely wasn’t smooth. I had no experience or knowledge of where to really begin all I knew was what I wanted to do. A lot of things I didn’t think through but I definitely don’t regret starting. We have to start somewhere or we’ll always wonder “what if”

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create/design images to be used as Ebonee Angel Card Covers. I also write the text for my greeting cards with an exception of one card titled “ I Get It From My Daddy” Years ago my daughter ( the face on my logo) created some kid card images.
My specialty is “ CUSTOM one of a kind greeting cards.
People LOVE them.
My covers, my text, the vibe and the feeling in your heart that stays with you long after you read my cards is what sets The Ebonee Angel Collection apart

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I was rebellious, a little angry and I had a small attitude problem to be honest. In grade schools the kids would always ask why I look mad all the time. I really was a sweet person with a good heart I just didn’t play. Still don’t
I use to love going fishing with my granddad,
Love going to hang out with my favorite cousins every summer when school was out. Later years loved playing Bingo with my mom. Shopping thrift stores, going out to eat and going to parties.
