Hi Gwen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Amazing Grace Ultrasound was founded out of a passion for helping families experience one of the most meaningful moments of pregnancy. As a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, I spent years performing medical ultrasounds, but I realized there was an opportunity to create something different….a place where families could slow down, celebrate their baby, and make lasting memories together.
From the beginning, my goal was never to simply provide ultrasound images. I wanted to create an experience that families would remember long after their appointment was over. Every detail, from the welcoming atmosphere to the personalized touches, was designed with that purpose in mind.
Today, Amazing Grace Ultrasound has had the privilege of serving thousands of families from across Missouri and beyond. We continue to grow through word of mouth, returning families, and the trust we’ve earned in our community. While we’ve expanded over the years, our mission has remained the same: we’re more than a picture, we create memories.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Building Amazing Grace Ultrasound has definitely not been a smooth road. Like many small business owners, I’ve had to wear many hats. In addition to performing ultrasounds, I’ve been the marketer, receptionist, bookkeeper, social media manager, IT support, and yes, even housekeeping. There were many days when I finished an ultrasound, cleaned the rooms, answered the phones, and then stayed late working on the business after everyone else had gone home.
One of the biggest challenges has been balancing exceptional patient care with the day to day responsibilities of running a business. As we grew, I also learned that I couldn’t do everything myself. Building a team that shares the same passion for serving families has been an important part of our growth.
We also had to educate families about the difference between a diagnostic medical ultrasound and an elective ultrasound experience. Our goal has always been to provide a memorable experience while maintaining professionalism and high standards.
Looking back, every challenge has taught me something valuable. Those experiences made us stronger, helped us improve, and reinforced the importance of treating every family with the same care and respect we would want for our own.
We’ve been impressed with Amazing Grace Ultrasound , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Amazing Grace Ultrasound, our focus has always been on creating an experience, not just performing an ultrasound. We offer pregnancy confirmation services, gender ultrasounds, 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD Live ultrasounds, early gender DNA testing, and a variety of keepsakes to help families celebrate their pregnancy.
As a registered diagnostic medical sonographer, I believe it is important to provide a professional experience while also creating an environment where parents, siblings, grandparents, and friends can slow down and enjoy one of life’s most special moments together.
I am most grateful for the trust our community has placed in us over the years. We are also thankful for the confidence that healthcare professionals have shown by referring their patients while also trusting us with their own friends, family members, and even themselves. Many of our families return with each pregnancy, refer their friends and family, and continue sharing photos of their babies long after they are born. There is no greater compliment than being trusted to share in one of the most meaningful moments in a family’s journey.
At the end of the day, our goal is for every family to leave feeling like they shared a special moment together. That’s what Amazing Grace Ultrasound is all about. We’re more than a picture. We create memories.
