Conversations with Alexia Bailey

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexia Bailey.

Hi Alexia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I’ve always like performing and doing shows, my mother had me in dance since I was three and would put me in other things like events and pageants . I started modeling back in 2020, it’s just always been my favorite thing to do and my happy place. When I was younger i was always self-conscious of my appearance. I always felt that was too skinny and wasn’t as pretty as the other girls. But then, a few ladies at my church would always inspire me, and tell me how beautiful I was. After that, my mother convinced me to do a birthday photo shoot for my 18th birthday and I’ve just been modeling ever since.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Of course with every road there’s a few bumps along the way I’ve had to stop modeling a few times due to things in my personal life. But I always find my way back to modeling.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work at hotshots bar and Grill as a server. Honestly, when people think of servers, they think of just waiting tables and serving drinks. But honestly, it’s a lot more than that. I love getting to meet new people and being a listening ear to people. And I love what I do. I know a lot of people when they come in. They see our little outfits and have a lot to say about it and like to judge us but honestly we’re a lot more than our outfits but it is a definite confidence booster.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
My family makes me happy, we definitely have our moments where there’s a lot of tension but who family doesn’t go through it, as much as me and my family fight we always come back together and be there for each other through it all!
