Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Verderber.
Hi Kayla , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. As a little girl, I was constantly creating little businesses of my own, making crafts, and dreaming up ways to turn my ideas into something real.
My dad was my biggest supporter and always encouraged my creativity, believed in my ideas, and reminded me that I could accomplish anything I set my mind to. Although he’s no longer here, the confidence he instilled in me and the encouragement he gave me have stayed with me throughout my life.
I attended cosmetology school while I was still in high school, where I discovered my passion for Beauty .
After graduating, I continued my education by attending esthetics school to further develop my skills and pursue the career I had always envisioned. Although those years weren’t always easy, they played a huge role in shaping who I am today. I faced bullying, but instead of letting it define me, it fueled my determination to prove to myself that I could build the life I’d always dreamed of.
Today, I’m proud to own my own business. While it’s considered a small business, it’s something I’ve poured my heart into, and I’m grateful for every client who has trusted me along the way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
I started my career working in a commission salon, where I worked out of what was basically a small closet. At the time, I had big dreams of owning my own business.
When I decided to branch out on my own, I faced plenty of challenges and doubt. Starting a business from the ground up wasn’t easy. I worked long hours, saved every dollar I could, invested everything back into my business, and slowly built my client base one appointment at a time.
After years of hard work, determination, and countless sacrifices, I was finally able to open my own studio. Today, I’m proud to own and operate Elevated Aesthetics, where we’ve created more than just a beauty studio we’ve built a welcoming environment for both clients and beauty professionals. Alongside me is an amazing team of aestheticians, lash artists, and a permanent makeup artists who all share the same passion for helping people feel confident.
Like many small business owners, there have been moments of uncertainty, setbacks, and obstacles. But every challenge taught me something valuable and made me a stronger business owner. Those experiences gave me the confidence to keep moving forward, even when things felt impossible.

Elevated Aesthetics is more than just a beauty studio it’s a place where people feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident from the moment they walk through our doors. Our mission has always been to create a positive, judgment-free environment where every client feels seen, valued, and cared for.
We specialize in eyelash extensions, facials, advanced skin treatments, waxing, permanent makeup, and tattooing, with eyelash extensions being our signature service. Every treatment is personalized because we believe beauty isn’t about changing who you are it’s about helping you feel like the best version of yourself.
As an award-winning lash artist, I’ve built Elevated Aesthetics on a foundation of quality, education, and genuine relationships. What truly sets us apart is the experience we create. We don’t just focus on beautiful results; we focus on making every appointment relaxing, uplifting, and memorable while building lasting trust with our clients. One of the things I’m most proud of is the community we’ve created not only for our clients but also for the talented beauty professionals who call our studio home.
Seeing people leave with more confidence than when they arrived and watching other artists grow their careers alongside us is incredibly rewarding. We’re also excited to expand our brand with our own professional lash tweezer line, designed by a lash artist for lash artists, because supporting and elevating others in the beauty industry has always been part of our vision. At the end of the day, Elevated Aesthetics is about so much more than beauty. It’s about empowering people, building confidence, creating meaningful connections, and providing a space where everyone feels accepted, inspired, and proud to be themselves.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that success requires patience, sacrifice, and believing in yourself, even when things feel impossible opening my own studio taught me to take risks, trust the process, and never give up on my goals. Every obstacle I faced made me stronger and reminded me why I started. I learned that building a successful business isn’t just about talent it’s about resilience, consistency, and showing up every day, even when it’s hard.
