Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacie Calvin.
Hi Stacie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am (always have been) a lover of fashion. Managed stores at the mall, worked retail etc. Now as I have gotten older, I am becoming a major thrifter-I go at least 3 times a week! I love to wear my outfits around St Louis & post them, add where I got them & do this every weekend! It’s a like a treasure hunt!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I have 2 Instagrams (thedailystacie81 & shopping_with_stacie) a TikTok (thedailystacie81) a Youtube & Lemon8. Each page is different! One page might like my outfit, the other just wants to see the food I post! I never know what viewers want to see but I post it all, everytime! My husband, along with my 21 year old twins (who will be Seniors at Mizzou) are my biggest cheerleaders!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am going on year 8 of a teachers assistant. I love my job (ok and the hours!) Since I get out of work so early, I like to go to different stores after work and I will take pictures of what is new at the stores and post them to my pages. I have always been “in the know” and very in tune with what is hot/not etc. My TikTok page grows everyday & I feel the excitement every time that I post throughout the day-I feel like my audience is waiting for that!
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
That it’s not easy. I am on LTK & one month I will do very well, and the next month not so much. But I don’t give up. I work hard at my fulltime job, and my side/after work side hustle. I put 100% into everything I do. If one of my posts doesn’t do well, I take notes & fix it & move along for the next time!
