Hi Quallin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
For most of my grade school years, I was a victim of bullying. I got called skinny, ugly, and teased for just being myself. It hurt, but I never showed or talked about it to anyone at that time, including my family. As a kid, going to school each day knowing you were going to be teased will affect you mentally. I’ve begun developing depression and anxiety at an early age, but on the surface I looked and acted fine. Holding the pain inside made me have multiple thoughts of taking myself out, but I knew that was too easy. Instead, I used that pain and turned it into power.
When I was 9, my mom bought me a PlayStation Portable (PSP). Like any kid, I loved playing games on it, but I became curious about what else it could do. After coming home from dreading school, I got on my mom’s computer and started doing extended research. I successfully learned how to sync images, music, and videos on my PSP. Excited about my first technological milestone, I wanted to learn more about the device and other tech products. The next day, I went to school and let my classmates know about my accomplishments. What surprised me was that the ones who bullied me wanted me to help them with their PSP. For the first time, I felt accepted and needed for being myself. I assisted them with their issue even though they bullied me in the past. At the time, I couldn’t explain the warm feeling I got after helping them. The bullying continued afterward, but I never forgot how I felt after assisting them. Little did I know that this encounter marked the beginning of my passion for technology and empowering others.
From my teenage years to my early 20s, the depression and anxiety became severe. Instead of blaming anyone or becoming bitter, I made it a priority to keep healing, learn from mistakes, and perfect my craft. After talking to multiple psychiatrists and being on 8 different medications for my mental health, I was finally weaned off the last dosage in 2020. Afterward, I started feeling better mentally and spiritually, which made me think more clearly and gain clarity about myself. Each day, I tried to be better than I was yesterday, with continued growth. As of 2026, I’m 30 years old, feel amazing, and remain rooted in myself. Through the setbacks and unfortunate events in my life, what I realized is that it’s easy to push negativity in the world. But I like standing for what’s right and going against the grain. So, being able to motivate and inspire anyone from my life experiences to become the best version of themselves is a blessing. Being an individual who provides unique solutions to others’ financial and personal development matters is my purpose. These moral values are what led me to create a unique business in 2024 called LEMAR TECHNOLOGY GROUP.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
As humans, we all face obstacles or challenges in life, and I’m no exception. Whether from family members, friends, colleagues, or a love partner, it’s always good to have those around who genuinely want the best for you. In a world where negativity, envy, and jealousy are easy to project onto others, I’ve experienced doubt, insecurity, and mental fog for years before gaining a sense of self. The mind and heart can fight against one another sometimes, but following what keeps you in divine alignment and at peace will never be wrong. Self-care is self-love, and when you’re comfortable in your own skin and mental space, it doesn’t matter who, what, when, and how obstacles come your way; you’ll always strive to overcome them.
