Meet Cynthia Ryan of St Louis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Ryan.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My (Cynthia Ryan) Roses & Mint journey began in 2018 after my family relocated to St. Louis. After spending my son’s first year as a stay-at-home mom, I was looking for a creative outlet and an opportunity to do something just for me.
I joined Roses & Mint as a weekend contractor, never imagining where that opportunity would eventually lead. As I became more involved, I began designing in studio weekly, which gradually evolved into a full-time role and, ultimately, ownership.
I’m still in awe of how naturally each stage of the journey unfolded. Looking back, it’s amazing to see how all of the pieces fell into place.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Yes! Of course, there have been new challenges and learning curves as different stages of life and ownership have come along, but I’ve always felt incredibly supported. I’m grateful to be part of such an understanding and supportive team that allows us to navigate those seasons together.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m part of the Roses & Mint team, and I feel incredibly lucky to play even a small part in one of the most special days in our couples’ lives. I don’t take that honor lightly.
Of course, I love the creative side of curating each couple’s floral design and bringing their vision to life, but one of my favorite parts is figuring out the larger installations and the mechanics behind them. I love a good puzzle and a power tool, haha!
I’m most proud of the amount of trust each couple places in us. It’s the way we carry ourselves every day, but especially alongside our couples. We are truly, truly invested in your day and in your love story, and I think that genuine investment is one of the things that sets us apart.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think one of the biggest contributors to our success is our team’s ability to genuinely connect with our clients and their families. It’s something we’re all proud of. We walk through the process alongside them, meeting them wherever they are in life, building trust and a beautiful experience.
