Rising Stars: Meet Jordyn Terry of St Louis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordyn Terry.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey started in 2018 when I was trying to figure out what I really wanted to do with my life. I had started college to become an elementary school teacher, but I quickly realized I wanted something more creative. I started making glitter lip gloss from my dining room table, and that was really my first taste of entrepreneurship.

Not long after, I discovered nails and completely fell in love with it. I took my first nail class, practiced constantly, went to nail school, and eventually opened my first private nail suite in 2021. What started as me simply trying to find my passion turned into a career and a business I was incredibly proud of.

Since my first VoyageSTL feature in 2022, my career has continued to grow and change— formerly Comegetjuicedd Nail Services & Supplies and now, Dripped in Juice Nail Studio. I’ve expanded into content creation, worked with brands, and found new ways to use my creativity. I’m still figuring out what’s next, but I’m proud that I’ve continued to create opportunities for myself instead of feeling like I have to follow one path.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I started building my business around the time COVID hit, so there were a lot of unexpected setbacks and moments where I had to figure things out as I went.

Being an entrepreneur also came with a lot of pressure. I had to learn how to build a clientele, manage a business, market myself, handle the financial side, and still believe in what I was creating. There were definitely times when I questioned myself, but every challenge taught me something and helped me grow.

One of my biggest lessons has been realizing that growth doesn’t always mean staying on the same path. My career has changed a lot over the years, and I’ve learned to be open to new opportunities while still staying true to myself.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My work has always been centered around creativity. I started as a nail technician specializing in acrylics, nail art, and ombré sets, and over the years I’ve expanded into content creation on TikTok and other social platforms.

I’ve had the opportunity to work with both personal brands and businesses through brand partnerships, creating content around beauty, nails, lifestyle, food, and products I genuinely enjoy. I’ve also been fortunate to receive PR and products from brands, including gel polishes and other beauty products.

I’m most proud of being able to turn my creativity into different opportunities. I’ve never wanted to put myself into one box, and I think being willing to evolve is what has allowed me to keep growing.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me through brand partnerships, content creation, product collaborations, and other creative opportunities. I’m always open to connecting with brands and businesses that genuinely fit my content and audience, especially in beauty, nails, lifestyle, and food.

The best way to support me is simply by following along on social media, engaging with my content, sharing my work, and supporting the brands and businesses I collaborate with. Even small interactions mean a lot when you’re building something of your own.
