Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay Loring.
Hi Lindsay, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I became very interested in learning more about child sleep after my twins were born four years ago. I had no idea how difficult it would be to get my basic need of sleep met after becoming a mother, and I was destined to find out how to get it back! I became obsessed with learning about child sleep patterns/techniques and scheduling.
Once I found myself helping strangers on the internet and friends and family, I decided to become certified as a Pediatric Sleep Consultant and make it a real thing! Since then, I have been building my business and client base all over the United States!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road! There are a lot of ups and downs when it comes to being a business owner, especially one in a service-based business. There is no rhyme or reason to predict how many clients I will have or how many I won’t have.
Throw the pandemic in there, and I actually think my profession saw an increase because so many parents were home with their children 24/7.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Tweet Dreamzz is my sleep consulting business for children ages 0-7 years. I help parents prioritize sleep in their homes by implementing routines, schedules, and sleeping environment change. This is all done virtually over a 2-week time span. I also offer a Newborn Essentials Course for those parents who want to know what to expect with their new baby once they get home.
I am a mom to twins which has really allowed me to explore that niche of parents to multiples and how those first few years can be more difficult, yet fulfilling! I offer one-to-one services for all children 4-months and older to help them start sleeping through the night and taking predictable, restful naps throughout the day.
It’s an old way of thinking that a mother is required to be without sleep and exhausted while raising her children. We cannot pour from an empty cup!
Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
If you are doing what you love, then what you do will never feel like work and that is what keeps me motivated to grow and help more families. Also, investing in your business is critical to keep up with trends, client experience, and overall brand synergy.
