Today we’d like to introduce you to Danicìa Tate.
Hi Danicìa, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
“A red sock with a red sock,”
“Blue pants with a blue top,”
Every day, I watched as Dakota learned her colors, numbers, and clothing. From a simple game of dress-up, this 2-year-old toddler was really learning. As a parent, I was so shocked but impressed! Dakota knew things such as you wear two shoes, two shoes should match, rather a dress or sock was the same color, etc.
Dakota was learning while exploring her creativity & having fun. If she could learn these things, at her age, so could other children. This is when the idea hit me!
We had to share this Creative & Fun way of learning with the world- the “Dakota Children Book Series” was born!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am the Voguish Ambivert. I can flourish when needed but I will always resort back to my introverted veil. This is why I struggle with exposure and collaboration, however, I am overcoming this struggle.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I tell stories, I specialize in bringing dreams, thoughts, and visions to life on paper and on people… Known for my versatile fashion styles and comedic- witty personality. As far back as I can remember I’ve always loved to write and had a passion for making others smile.
I am most proud of expressing myself and allowing my voice to be heard through my gift of being a writer.
With all due respect, what sets me apart from others is that my work is impeccably ME. There is no other Danicìa C. Tate, I am one of the world’s Best storytellers when it comes to writing. New York Best Sellers will have to come to knock on my door to prove otherwise. Respectfully.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Watching one of my grandfathers get dressed, he took so much pride in getting ready and his appearance. It was truly an intriguing scene to watch. Undershirt, underpants, and socks, my grandmother would grab & plop them down in the bathroom for Grandpa, after his shower.
My grandpa would come out of the bathroom ready to go- cologne, dress shirt, pants, tie, blazer, remove shoe stretchers, more cologne. He would stare at himself with such affirmations in the mirror but not utter one word. Powerful moments.
I can still remember him pulling away from the curb in his Cadillac, as his cologne still lingered around the house.
