Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimber Sansone.
Hi Kimber, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Hello, hello! I’m Kimber, the girl behind the brand, Boy Mama, Wife, and Corporate Businesswoman turned to stay-at-home Mompreneur. I’m also the original creator of the stamped books. This journey began with an idea that became a product right from my living room floor. After sharing my stamped book sets on social media, my hobby quickly turned into a business almost overnight.
With the help of my husband and parents, we built a brand and created a company; bringing books from my basement to your home, one sentimental “story” at a time. Two years ago, I traded in my corporate life to focus on my business full time. My company has evolved into an interior design firm and we launched our home décor product line last Fall.
Our services are available both online and in-store. A one-stop-shop for all things home and gift. I have always had a passion for creating, designing, and décor, so blending all of them was the perfect recipe for my dream career. I am forever grateful for this experience, the lessons, and everything God has blessed me with.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been quite the journey! Building a business is hard. It’s stressful. It’s overwhelming. However, success wouldn’t mean as much without some struggle and earning your way. The toughest part was finding the time to start a side hustle. I was working 50+ hours in a demanding management role and just had my second baby– running off of little to no sleep, while nursing and trying to devote another 30+ hours to running my company.
Leaving before the sun came up and getting home after it had already gone down. Those 16 hours days were long. Corporate woman by day, stamping machine by night, and momming in between. I felt a lot of pressure and guilt, but I knew that my hard work would eventually pay off and provide me with more freedom and flexibility to be with my family. There were many tears shed, lots of mistakes made, and plenty of moments where I wanted to quit, but I look back on my journey and am so beyond thankful I didn’t.
So happy I persevered and pushed through the challenges. I’ve always loved this quote and remind myself of it each time things get difficult. “If you really want to do something, you’ll find a way, if you don’t, you’ll find an excuse.”
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Kimber Sansone Design is a multifaceted company focusing on Interior Design services, a home décor store, and best known for our worldwide viral product- The Stamped Book Set. I also run a lifestyle Instagram account sharing home tips, DIYs, motherhood, design, and small business empowerment.
This platform is made up of almost 30,000 women who support and empower one another! It has been the biggest key to my success and company growth. This account has also been a true blessing that allows me to share, help, and connect with others!
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
The most important thing to me is first, being a role model for my kids and showing them that they too CAN accomplish whatever they want to in life, no matter the difficulty. It’s also important for me to inspire others who have big dreams and goals. I did not have money to invest or experience in this realm.
I didn’t have anything more than the average person with a dream. In fact, at one point, I was a single teen mom with no college education. I made a promise to myself that I would not be a statistic and that I would not let that define me. As I reflect on this road, it was not one thing that got me here.
It was a multitude of choices, support, and people who helped along the way. I want to encourage you to take the first step and keep pushing yourself to get where you desire.
