Meet Gabriella Yurevich of Social Traction Studios

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella Yurevich.

Alright, thank you for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
Honestly, in my wildest dreams, I would’ve never expected to be a business owner. Surprisingly enough- I started as an Art Teacher. Teaching was a gratifying job at times- I have a lot of good memories from it. It was everything I’d hoped it would be until it wasn’t. The days were long, the work was never-ending, & the extreme lack of support was devastating. I ultimately decided my mental, physical, & emotional health were far more important. Over this past Summer (2022), I spent a lot of time figuring out what I wanted to do with my life. It was a long process, but I eventually learned about Social Media Marketing & was instantly enthralled. I learned everything I could about it. I listened to podcasts and YouTube videos, took courses, & eventually became a Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate. I applied to hundreds of jobs. Many I would hear back from almost immediately as a ‘no.’ I had a few interviews here & there, but ultimately, I was told I needed the right experience, education, or credentials. While I was qualified on paper, I knew it was something I could do & could do well. I eventually decided that if no one else would hire me- I would. I officially formed Social Traction Studios in October 2022 & have been working my butt off ever since. It’s been fascinating but also very scary. I love what I do- & I know eventually, all my hard work will pay off. It’s a long process, but I’m slowly gaining clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If anyone says starting a small business is a smooth road- they’re probably lying. There’s a lot of work that goes into it that goes unseen. I’ve had many people question my decisions and business- & a lot of people still do. But I know someday soon I’ll prove them wrong. One of the greatest obstacles for me right now is finding clients. Small businesses are on a tight budget & there’s so much amazing competition out there. I know I’m on the right track- I must keep reminding myself it takes time.

We’ve been impressed with Social Traction Studios, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Social Traction Studios works primarily with small businesses in St Louis to Southeast Missouri. We specialize in organic social media- just fancy words for unpaid posting. Because we are Meta Certified- we work exclusively with Facebook & Instagram as our platforms for posting. We offer a wide range of monthly packages starting as low as $200 a month. Because we’re also a small business- we know that small business budgets can be tight. That’s why we offer affordable services & free tips & tricks on our social media pages. The best part of this business is being able to build connections & relationships with other business owners through our little online community. Our biggest goal is to give back to our community by supporting & promoting small & local businesses the best way we know how- through organic social media.

Are books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I spend a lot of time on Instagram. Sometimes it’s for work; sometimes, it’s not. But either way, one of my favorite people to follow right now is Paula Fontana- an amazing motivational speaker. I also spend a lot of time listening to podcasts, including Marketing Millennials, TED Talks Daily, Crime Junkie, & Art Curious.
