Hi Germeka, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My passion has always been in Holistic Healing and Self-Care; Healing the Mind, Body, Spirit and Soul. Growing up watching Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman awakened my desire to become a Medicine Woman to help people heal, and eventually my own personal pain gave birth to my purpose.

My story has many facets so I guess I can safely say that my holistic journey’s origin story began around 2010. I began having irregular menstrual cycles, sometimes I would go for six months with nothing at all. In 2011, I began struggling with an extremely painful 5 cm cyst on one of my ovaries, I suffered with this issue for over 5 years. Doctors would never help me, they always told me that there was nothing that they could do for me and that cysts come and go on their own. “Suck it up and deal with it” is basically what I heard for all of those years. It was time for something different.
Years of research also taught me that unforgiveness, unhealed trauma, stress, mental torment, etc.. can lead to all of the issues that I was having.
I started my self-love, self-care, self-healing journey around 2016. I found some beneficial information on Vaginal Steaming. After searching for vaginal steaming spas in my area, although there weren’t very many at the time, I went with the one that had the highest rating on Google. And that is where I met the most amazing woman by the name of Alisha White from Heal-thy Womb. After my first consultation with her, it was confirmed within me that holistic healing and services is what I wanted to do. We talked about me owning a holistic spa business and many other things. After that consultation, I began adding all natural products and vaginal steaming with Alisha to my self-healing journey. That 5 year old, 5 cm painful cyst was gone within 90 days and I’ve been cyst free for over 7 years!
I remember feeling so much depression, anxiety and shame as a woman dealing with different types of feminine issues, and feeling like I was the only one and nothing was helping me. After years of being left in the dark, I finally received the healing that I so desperately needed.
But as they say, “Life started (life-ing)” and that healing business dream floated to the back burner as I continued to take care of home as a wife and a mother.
Hair Serum Story
I added hair growth oils and essential oils in 2018 when certain hair care products, and years of relaxers caused severe damage to my hair and scalp. That correlated with the everyday stresses of life caused major thinning to my crown. My hair kept coming out by the handfuls and there were noticeable bald spots. That made me feel self conscious, ashamed and like less than a woman. Knowing that my hair is my crowning glory. I learned about detoxing my mind, my body, spirit and soul. I started using my products consistently, I changed my thought process, started speaking life over my hair/scalp and my hair started growing back. A year later a few of my coworkers stopped and acknowledged my growth and when I told them about me making my own products, they encouraged me to start a business and sell them. They were my very first testers and supporters. Then the pandemic hit and “Life started (life-ing)” again. Then in 2021 several strangers complimented my hair health and when I explained they also encouraged me to start a business. I finally understood and accepted my assignment.
I decided to conquer my fear and shyness and here I am…
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It most certainly has not been a smooth road. This has been the most devastating, uncomfortable, eye opening journey.
First and foremost, I was an extremely shy introvert, I still struggle with this lifelong habit sometimes. Growing up I always felt like people didn’t like me, so I had the mindset “if you didn’t speak to me first, then I wouldn’t speak either.” I would just give that half smile and head nod at everyone and keep walking. But becoming a business owner I had to break that mindset and come out of my comfort zone.
Secondly, fear of the unknown. I was used to being comfortable, knowing all the details and controlling my life plans. I needed to know the whole plan… I needed to know who, what, when, where and how… But becoming a business owner was the total opposite. I didn’t know any of this.
But my purpose kept calling me and every time I tried to run or hide behind shyness, fear or uncomfortability, I was reminded of that purpose and being called for such a time as this.
I still have my challenges with being an entrepreneur, but great things never came from comfort zones.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important lessons that I have learned are:
-Obedience is greater than sacrifice.
-Do not despise small beginnings.
-You have to keep encouraging yourself to continue to achieve your goals. You are your biggest cheerleader.
-Entrepreneurs need a village too.
