Hi Brittney, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I found my passion for helping and building relationships with seniors at a very young age. The bond I had with my grandma was nothing short of precious. When I was 16, I started my career in the senior living industry. Quickly, I worked my way up from an entry-level position to a mid-level manager within one of the largest and most recognized senior living companies in the US. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Missouri in 2018. After earning my degree, I excelled in the sales and marketing industry. I founded A Lending Hand Senior Solutions to pursue my passion for helping seniors and making a difference in our community.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Fortunately, I have a great support system, and this road has been a great experience. However, it has been a challenging road. Being a young entrepreneur in the senior living space has its challenges. As well as balancing growth, scaling A Lending Hand while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction can be a struggle. We want to guarantee all our clients experience the whole hands-on experience and lifetime support. We have worked many hours on perfecting our process to ensure each senior and client gets the service they deserve.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
One of the crucial lessons I and many learned was that older adults are impacted physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and financially by COVID-19 and their anxiety surrounding the virus, but perhaps more so by the effects of isolation due to restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus. Seniors need to be active mentally and physically for their overall health.
