Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Lutz.
Hi Sarah, can you introduce yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I have always been interested in fashion! You can express your personality through your clothes. Choose outfits with a theme, or wear fun, funky pieces! I love going out and exploring the city and just started taking pictures of the places I went. This snowballed into working with clothing companies to show off their outfits. What better way to do that than to wear them to all the fantastic places STL offers? So, I show off the unique local businesses while matching my outfits to place! It is so much fun! I have met many amazing people throughout this journey, and St. Louis has so much to offer!
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I greatly doubt myself, but that comes with putting yourself on the internet. When you first start, it is hard to grow, and it’s a slow process, so you question yourself along the way. Is what I’m doing helpful? Is all the hard work worth it? Then you get people who private message you and thank you for your actions. Tell you that you inspired them or send you pictures of their outfits! Then you remember it’s why you started in the first place!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Blended/Special Education teacher in Belleville, IL. I work in a blended classroom (regular Ed and special Ed together), which is amazing! I also teach education courses at SIUE. I have my Master’s in Special Education, a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, and a Learning Behavior Specialist endorsement. I am so proud of being a teacher. Knowing I can make a difference in kids’ lives is a blessing. Plus, they teach me a lot, too! I also do modeling for Gliks and work with many companies through Instagram (Target, Giorgio Armani, Juicy Couture, Sephora, etc.). Instagram is so much fun, and I am thankful for all the opportunities it has presented me. I’ve made many friends and met local business owners who are just the sweetest humans.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I’m a mom of two and have been with my husband for 16 years! I love to work out, run races, listen to music, go shopping & go to coffee shops! I could sit at coffee shops and talk for hours! Despite being scared of flying, I love to travel- I have been to all 50 states (minus 2) and multiple countries! I’m highly extroverted. I will talk to anyone, and being around people is what I live for! The more the merrier!
