Today we’d like to introduce you to Max Padratzik
Hi Max, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started playing tennis when I was 5. I worked very hard to get to the level I am at today. I met my friend, Amey, in 7th grade. We both enjoyed tennis a lot. This summer, we decided to make money by doing what we love. We created a tennis academy called MATA (Max and Amey’s). We are looking to build our business as we only just started.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Last year, we tried to advertise our business, but we had yet to sign up for anything and had no customers. We decided to wait until the following summer to give it a shot. We need an Instagram account and a website to help promote our company, and we hope it becomes successful.
I appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about MATA?
We are a tennis academy that wants to work to create a strong foundation for children who aspire to be great tennis players and people. My partner and I both compete in high-level tournaments and play tennis on the varsity level at MICDS; we just won districts. Our progress in advertising is one of our greatest strengths, and we hope to continue this even more. We offer private and group lessons to children, and we are very flexible with the times that lessons can be scheduled.
Can you talk to us about the role of luck?
I was lucky to be allowed to play on the varsity tennis team in the top six this year as a freshman. Bad luck has happened to me this year when I have hurt my elbow out of the blue.
