Today we’d like to introduce you to Kinadee Haley.
Hi Kinadee, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I started doing tattoos when I was 19/20 in a studio apartment in Kenner, LA as a hobby.
I never seen a future in my hobby until I started to take serious interest in tattooing in 2019. I was always doing tattoos on and off throughout the years.
When I was 29 in Atlanta, I started to invest in myself. I’ve managed to work in a tattoo shop, become a mobile tattoo artist around Atlanta, appear in a few urban magazines and more.
I’ve met great people along the way as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, lol. Anything that comes easy isn’t worth the while. I’ve started and stopped, moved and rebranded multiple times.
The best struggles for me was building back up after relocating and teaching myself the skills I need to be successful.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an underground artist.
I specialise in tattoos, painting, sketches and more.
I am known for my tattoo work.
I am mostly proud of my work ethic. I am constantly moving from city to city, state to state finding myself rebuilding each time.
I am all self taught. I went through the discipline of trials and tribulations to get to where I am today.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was the little sister of a big brother that played sports and draws too. So I did everything he did. 😃
I played football, basketball, hockey, softball, drew anime, Disney characters and more. I was even in the marching band.
I was definitely a scholar in school as well. I took pride in education and always stayed to myself and set time aside for books.
