Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Caldwell
Hi Jessica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started massage therapy 9 years ago after realizing cosmetology wasn’t for me. I worked for a spa for those 9 years but I always wanted to own my own spa. July of 2022 I had a hard reset during a flash flood where I walked away from my entire apartment and car. As painful as that was, I also looked at it as an opportunity to step back and attack my major goal. This was one of the hardest task I have ever attempted to accomplish.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This has been a bittersweet challenge for me. You look at running a business as looking for clients to come and get services, right? As simple as that sounds it’s a major process to getting those clients. I had to change myself in a sense. My day to day looks different than what i’m use to. I try to represent myself in a completely different manner. I am a reflection of this name and business, it scared me to think about. It’s not like going to work and just calling off for whatever reason. I have to show up no matter what! Honestly my business is my child, I can’t neglect it and I can’t starve it! I have no choice but figure out how to keep it fed and alive! I had to figure out how to deal with life’s battles and still show up everyday. I lost my grandpa and my aunt two weeks apart and I remember massaging with tears running down my face. That’s honestly when I realized how real this was, business does not stop by any means!
We’ve been impressed with Spa Daze, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory as of lately has been with my Aunt Jarri who is no longer with us. She honestly helped mold me into the woman I am today. From her pep talks on how to conduct myself as a friend (girl code) and dealing with the public. But when she would get ready for work she would sit at her vanity, do her make up and sing. I loved her voice. I would sit on the side of the bathtub or twirl around the bathroom and just listen to her sing. I think that memory has been on my mind lately as I watch my 3 year old niece admire me the same as I did my aunt.
