Hi Raven, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Empowering others is my life’s work. I’ve dedicated my career to creating a positive impact through the fields of education, social work, and community engagement. This journey has revealed my ability to inspire and unite people towards shared goals.
Leveraging my experience, I founded Upper Coaching to provide comprehensive coaching, training, and consulting services. Our holistic approach empowers individuals and organizations to achieve lasting success.
But it’s not just about business for me, I’m committed to giving back. The A. Bolden Foundation, established in 2022, is a 501c3 nonprofit in memory of my sister, that offers scholarships, mental health support, and educational opportunities. This foundation is a testament to her legacy of compassion for she believed in forgiveness and self-endurance.
I’m a resilient, dedicated, and honest individual passionate about creating positive change, I am Raven Pugh.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Has it been a smooth road? No, not at all. As a nontraditional student, I didn’t have the opportunity to build up my network in the same way as many of my peers. Networking can be crucial for securing job opportunities, gaining business leads, and obtaining strong recommendations. Without a proper network, you can find yourself at a disadvantage. This lack of a built-in support system meant that I had to work harder to establish connections and prove myself in the professional world. It was challenging, but it taught me the importance of resilience, determination, and the power of building relationships from scratch. These experiences have shaped my approach to leadership and entrepreneurship, reinforcing the value of perseverance and the importance of creating a supportive community.
