Check Out Amanda Love’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Love.

Hi Amanda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I was a young girl, I always had the dream of being in the industry.. Whether that was being a dancer, an actress, or a model. I wanted to do it all, to be a triple threat & adored by the world lol! I can remember myself looking in the mirror posing, mimicking the girls on the runway, in fashion magazines & America’s next top model. Mimicking the women in the movies I saw, performing their monologs to my family. Religiously watching TRL, MTV & BET then going to my mirror teaching myself how to dance like the girls on TV.

I knew that I had talent & it needed to be seen. So every chance I could get I would put myself in front of an audience. I was in theater throughout middle school & high school, singing/dancing in musicals & on my high school dance team.

It wasn’t until I was a senior in high school that I started really taking things seriously.. When I was almost to the point of graduating that’s when I moved into being a professional dancer. I was pushing towards that more than ever! Backup dancing for artists, doing music video shoots, but it still wasn’t enough for me. I went on Facebook back in 2010 & STALKED the fashion scene. I found what photographers shot what, where, when, why, how lol! I’d show up to events message people on Facebook/MySpace getting any bit of information I could get to be involved in the magic they were creating here.

In doing so over the years I was fortunate to work with some of the most talented people to come from St. Louis. I was mingling, really learning vital information from top industry professionals & this networking helped get my name out there even just a little bit & I gained life long knowledge.

I spent years doing talent gigs here and there but was always afraid I wasn’t good enough. I NEVER really took the initiative to push myself into being a full time artist until corona hit.

I decided this was the perfect time for a fresh start, I rebranded myself & started going full force into music videos, acting & modeling. I think I’m known mainly for being the acting “video girl” of STL but I’ve been actively showing I am far more than that!

This year of 2022 above has been absolutely amazing & I can feel my career taking off, It’s an amazing feeling being recognized for your hard work.

I have been doing this for almost 13 years now immersing myself in any avenue I could, age is a non-factor. You have to have patience, don’t let ANYONE tell you that you’re not good enough. Do not give up under any circumstances. . If you have the dream, the drive & the passion you can absolutely achieve any goal that you want to!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Are roads in STL ever smooth? LOL!

In all seriousness not at all. There have been some amazingly unforgettable beautiful rewarding moments I’ve had on this journey. But getting there was absolutely terrifying. There will be obstacles & people that try to throw you off your path but you have to let your passion fuel your journey & know that YOUR bigger picture… your goal outweighs all the negative.

Your confidence in yourself is key to this industry game. You have to believe in you.

Being a woman in this industry you really have to do your diligence and make sure you’re putting yourself into the right situations to stay physically safe.

I’d say the main challenge is overcoming the negativity of others, once you gain the mindset of “idgaf what you or anyone else thinks” watch yourself flourish like never before.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I actually specialize in a lot of fields. I am a model, actress, dancer, voice-over artist, photographer, videographer & animal rescuer!

I’d say I’m most known for my acting, modeling & the way I carry myself while on set. When I am booked my clients know they’re getting an experienced, professional artist that will bring their vision to life.

I’ve been in over 200+ productions & I am only getting started.

I’d say my ability to do so many things & do them with proficiency sets me apart from the crowd. I have worked very hard to be where I am now. I’m known as the reliable go-to “IT” girl that can do anything & I am very proud of that.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
During the Covid 19 crisis, the biggest thing I learned to not take anyone or anything for granted.

I feel like people as a whole didn’t know how good we actually had it until it was taken away abruptly. Cherish every moment, live your life to the fullest, don’t stress about things you can’t change.
