Check Out Amy And Harley James’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy And Harley James

Amy and Harley, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Petaled Pail & Company is a mother-daughter duo that began with Amy’s vision and Harley away at NC State University. After her corporate job was outsourced and spending years at a desk that provided minimal fulfillment, Amy decided that she needed to choose courage and happiness for a new chapter. And so began Petaled Pail & Company in 2016. Harley, graduated in 2018, joined her mom in business and together they embarked on the journey of building PP&Co into what it is today. Originally, they began growing their own flowers and selling them at the local farmer’s market, from there evolving to floral design and events while working out of a home studio and taking a leap in to a new space last year in 2023.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, there have been growing pains along the way with each transition including a pandemic, growing a team, implementing systems with new growth and moving a business to a new storefront. Working together, taking failure off of the table, we’ve learned to push through the daily obstacles because there is always something rewarding on the other side.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Together, we are curators with a love for details and a focus on celebration. Whether we’re designing beautiful wedding days that tell love stories, a milestone event, or everyday flowers, our clients receive a personal and unforgettable elevated experience. Every design by Petaled Pail & Co. whether a simple centerpiece or a large scale wedding day, is created with its purpose in mind so we’re sure to provide you with the most beautiful result and cherished memories.

We’re most proud of the brand we’ve created based on the services we offer and being where we are today. We are a self taught team of strong women, working hard to build this brand that we love, making careful decisions along the way to ensure that we’re staying true to our values, beliefs and ourselves so that PP&Co. is able to thrive and grow to be the brand that we’re dreaming of.

What sets us apart from others is most importantly, the personalized services that we are providing. We don’t consider ourselves “traditional” florists, in that respect, For our Everyday Customers and Subscribers, we have new themes, color palettes and celebrations each month along with weekly in house events and flower bars every Saturday in house. With our customized options, consideration of details and client priorities, it’s important to us that we’re creating a new experience each time someone enters our space.

The world we’re living in today is so fast paced. Our mission is to remind everyone to slow down and take notice of what each day offers to be celebrated. To actually stop, be present in the moment, and take the time to gather friends and family for the celebration.
