Today we’d like to introduce you to Curtis “allstar Chuck” Brasfield Sr
Hi Curtis “Allstar Chuck”, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Wow…ummm…i started out as a rapper back in St Charles at a young age! I’m talking 9 or 10 years of age! I use to rap with my cousin and his friends n a group called R.T.P (Ruthless Teenage Posse) well they was teenagers and I was a kid!;but from that point I had learned how to better my craft but also I started to look into the business as well..at a young age! I’m probably telling my age but I use to take interest in reading liner notes inside the cassette tapes of artist and reading the words producer, executive producer, publishing etc…so I had already taken a liking to the business side of the at a young age! It carried all the way to the different groups I was in from RTP, Alleged Kamp to K.R.T. so by the time I moved to Houston, Texas I had moved from being the artist to being a ceo of my own situation.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a “smooth” road! Lol anything that’s worth having definitely isn’t smooth! Lol….the main struggle I would say for me was getting comfortable within myself and believing that I can do what I need to do..even when I was being over looked or not even being considered at all.!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a artist development company called Earcatching Artist Services Management Group and what we do is assist independent artists with their music rather it’s helping from scratch to finish on a project a roll out etc but one of the main specialties of my company is to assist with and educate artist about their royalties! ASCAP, BMI, Sound exchange, The MLC, Songtrust, copyrights, these are the main foundation that we at Earcatching Artist Services Management Group do to help and educate independent artist. With everything that’s goin on in the music industry in 2025 there’s no excuses! A little bit of management and consulting as well.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is achieving what matters most to you, whether it’s personal growth, happiness, or accomplishing your goals.
