Check Out Javan Richardson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Javan Richardson

Hi Javan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My life can be summed up as humble beginnings. The king has chosen me to take the high road through the unassuming door. Must, I share it’s a lonely ride. I grew up in a single-family home. I’m the oldest of six children on my mother’s side of the family. I learned to be a leader first in the house – my most extensive experience. I believe that was preparation for my now. My mom was more demanding of me growing up than my other siblings, and I wouldn’t say I liked that. It was very discomforting, but when I got older, I asked my mom why she was so hard on me, and she shared that because my destiny required me to use a different method. I’m a first-generation college student, and I’m headed for my doctoral degree in educational leadership starting this July. In my 25 years, I’ve experienced some highs and lows. I’ve faced depression and suicide, but God reminded me that purpose wouldn’t let me die; it’s bigger than what I see. I realized when I was at NC A&T for undergrad that I put to work while I was in school and set to work while in school, which was everything my mom instilled in me as a child. One day, my mom asked me to design a flyer for her, and that was the start of my business (RemarkableGraphicDesigns), which is now 7 years strong. If you want to grow, you have to take care of yourself. It’s my everyday goal to be holistically healthy. I was raised in a family deeply committed to ministry. At four years old, I would sit outside and speak with a spatula as my microphone. My grandmother listened, encouraging him to remain humble, obedient, and focused. I have lived by these principles and recognize that they’ve been instrumental to his achievements. With a burning passion for achievement, I want to help the next generation tap into their potential and recognize unparalleled success in every area of life. Trained under the tutelage of Dr. Haywood and Dr. Wanda Frazier-Parker, I now walk out my calling as a public speaker, author, visionary, executor, and innovator, inspiring audiences both in ministry and the marketplace.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been smooth at all. It’s never easy, but it’s always worth it. My favorite scripture is Romans 8:28, Which is my motivation. Triumph over trials is how I can describe my life. It’s imperative to have resilience in the face of obstacles and know that they come to make us stronger. I went through a terrible depression in August 2021; I could not even function on my own. I moved to my grandparents, who nursed me back to a good place. Later on, I encountered a terrible heartbreak that put me in a place of suicide. I felt like nothing was left for me, but that’s when God transformed me from broken into new. I encountered heartbreak and had many heartaches in the struggle, but I had to fuel courage through adversity and take action. Hearing is a blessing; learning is a skill. Heartbreak will humble you or make you cold-hearted; either you can choose to live or die. My condition yielded to the favor of God in my life. Pain fueled my next while passion produced my healing, and my healing created purpose. It was in my low moments that trauma tried to kill me, but it did know I was built to last, no matter the circumstance. Must I submit to you today that your trauma will end in triumph? With every broken heart comes a more significant breakthrough.
