Today we’d like to introduce you to Nino Ross.
Hi Nino, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I’ve loved music for as long as I can remember. When I was fifteen, I began making my own beats, exploring the possibilities of putting sounds and tones together. Creating moments always have something I wanted to take to the next level, but I didn’t know how to achieve that goal. For 10 years, I began to hone and master my craft and collaborate with other artists. After dropping my first instrumental in 2020, past connections and others within the music circle began to reappear. As a partnership, WE all decided it was time to put our heads together and create a timeless sound St. Louis hadn’t captured since the days of ‘Nelly & Country Grammar.’ We’ve come a long way and continue to grow as individual artists and as a collaborative group wanting to bring back the music we all fell in love with. We dropped out the first collaborative album, ‘We Are P35 Records: SUMMER’S END!, at the end of July. Since the drop, this album has amassed over 10k streams in over 30 countries.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Where there is growth, you usually have your fair share of challenges. These challenges aren’t directly towards our knowledge of creating music and beats; it stems more from having so much more on my plate than just creating beats. Growing my label all while juggling my other independent business (Palace35 Podcast & Ninothetrainer) sometimes causes a tug of time and what gets completed when. Another challenge we face is ensuring that everyone on the label is on one accord. Ensuring that we are all on the same page is essential for the growth of the business overall.

P35 Records is the exclusive label of Palace 35 Productions. Being hip hop/R & B centric, we have a sound for everyone. We dropped our first album (We Are P35 Records: SUMMER’S END!) We dropped our second studio album, “We Are P35 Records Pt. 2: MOB,” in November.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck has not played an enormous role in the creation of P35 Records. This was always a dream for me. Personally, it took gaining the knowledge to turn dreams into reality.
