Olaoluwa Olunloyo

Hi Olaoluwa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
As of right now I have Multiple Businesses I’m Involved in But My most passionate and longest business has been Personal training. My business Train 300 started unintentionally after I graduated Highschool. You know after school your routine changes and everything is up to you. How you eat, when you eat, and even how much you move in a day now becomes an intentional effort. Me and all of my friends gain weight and one of my friends wanted to go to a toga party at SEMO. my problem was that i was out of shape and i didn’t feel like i would look good for the party. for that shallow reason i decided to start doing outdoor workouts at Ritenour Highschool track. At first it was just me and my buddy, but then all of my friends got involved. We train 5 days a week at the track starting at at 9 or 10pm and leaving at 11pm or sometimes past midnight! I don’t know what motivated us so much to be consistent, maybe because we were young and didn’t have anything else to do, but after 3 months we were in the best shape of our lives! We even used to joke around about how after the workouts we would look like the guy from the movie “300”. we later found out they all had CGI abs but that’s what the name Train 300 came from. I never charged them during that time and my and my friend came up with most of the workouts. I also had the best time of my life at the party as well lol. years later i decided to start it up again. people started noticing us and ask if I charged. I said ” No should I? how much would you pay?” and that’s were my personal training journey began. I notice when i got start that it wasn’t a lot of help offered in this field outside of getting certified, which i highly recommend for anyone who wants to be a trainer. So from there I had to learn myself how to market using a new business I started with photography and videography. To take it even further I didnt only use it for myself, but for other people who were just as passionate about the business as well! Today I consider myself a Professional problem solver. I use my experience and skills to help people get started in there business and I still help people reach their fitness goals. If I can help it, I like to be there person that someone can look to as a mentor, or friends, or even business partner! I very passionate about helping people reach their goals in the gym or out.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I felt like I was prepare for everything that came at me for the most part. I was young and lived a minimalistic lifestyle. to save money i’d even stay at a friend houses until my business grew. When I officially quit my job I knew i wouldn’t be making much from the beginning. Actually I remember making $80 a week from a personal training client when i first got started. I never stopped moving and never stop offering my service or helping people that needed it. even if it was free. I used creative was to market myself and took pictures and posted everything I did back when facebook was as popular as it is now. I was excited and motivated. Its hard to really look at anything back then as an obstacle. I was ready for a challenge and I love what I do.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
To some it up I do marketing and Personal training. I’m known mostly for personal training and creating content. I’m most proud of the people Ive been able to help and my creative ways of marketing myself and others. what set me apart from the others is my consistence energy and creativeness! I’ve also kept track of my clients from the very beginning so i have plenty of proof that I know what I’m doing.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
There’s nothing specifically that I run to that helps me do my best in life. I think everything that happens around me gives me inspiration. my favorite thing is finding other people who are just as inspired or excited about their goals. I do consume alot of content on social media from fitness and cinematography influencers like, peter mckinnon a professional Photographer and content creator on YouTube, or like fitness influencer Ulysses Jr. whos and retired pro bodybuilder and now does fitness content. But Like i said I’m inspired so much by anyone whos going after it.
