Today we’d like to introduce you to Wayde Alexander.
Hi Wayde, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
On the previous question, what areas were impacted all over STL, from the villa to the south side to STL Charles and beyond? My journey with St. Louis began in 2003 when my oldest sister moved from our hometown of Moberly, Missouri. From there, I would travel every weekend to St. Louis and live there on weekends. Weekends I turned to entire summers staying with my sister at various places throughout the STL metro area and eventually downtown.
Over those years, I helped my sister and manager Jana Gamble do many fundraisers for the homeless through multiple entities such as Live to Give, later dissolving and becoming Purposed Productions. From one area to the next, I was followed by my sister’s lead. We put together or helped with countless projects for several regions of the metro area. It’s such as “I am homeless, “which focuses on providing Provisions for STLs homeless. Partnering for STLs for” I am Annie Malone, “I made the song and partnered with then-senator Jamilah Nasheed for her campaign song. I was involved with the “I’m a survivor” All White Cancer Gala, All while going from being a kid to being an artist and watching my sister battle cancer twice. Throughout all these times and experiences, the number one thing was giving back! With me being an Artist and being back and forth from STL to central mo and other areas of the county, being an artist, humanitarian efforts are the most important things to us.
Recently I’ve started a real estate business branching into the central part of Missouri with plans to expand. I’ve spent hours studying the market and hours on stage. I’ve written for artists who performed in (to be realized films) and written a campaign song for a senator. I’m back and forth on the highway from STL to Moberly. Every time I get on the highway, I’m reminded it’s a bridge not only from people to people But to opportunity and mindset. My next step is to show people how to run multiple businesses, be successful, extend their reach to other areas, and mentor young investors, young people, and young artists.
Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No road traveled is smooth, but everything can be conquered with God. The hardest thing you will face is your mind. Once you change your perception, you will unlock much for yourself and others and become a foundation for change and growth.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Music Artist. I also own a New Budding Real Estate business, hold a full-time job, and am involved with a new label, my friend Viracocha Mendoza, created. I founded named Cultural Deities. I have an immense drive to succeed and make a way and impact.
Who else deserves credit for your story?
My sister Jana Gamble and my mom Sandra Leyva Gamble. Who knows where I would be without them and their guidance at a young age? My fiance Mariana Cardenas for keeping me grounded; my good friends and partners and super producer Emmitt Burden aka Big E Beatz, Tevin Boone Carter, and big dream Aka Jed for always inspiring me to continue. My family and fans, of course, God.
