How I Started: The Birth of Premier Notary Services
In December 2018, I took a leap of faith and launched Premier Notary Services, LLC. At the time, I had a clear vision: to provide dependable, professional, and accessible notary services to my community. The journey began with a simple but powerful idea—people needed trustworthy, convenient notarial services. Whether it was real estate closings, legal documents, or everyday notarizations, I knew there was an opportunity to fill that gap.
I began small, working from my home office and steadily building my clientele. I quickly learned that being a notary is not just about stamping documents—it’s about providing peace of mind, especially in moments where accuracy and reliability are critical. This foundation of trust is what led me to focus on exceptional customer service and professionalism.
How I Got to Where I Am Today: A Story of Growth and Persistence
The journey to where I am today has been marked by persistence, continuous learning, and expanding my skill set. Since those early days, I’ve grown my business in ways I never imagined. Starting with traditional notary services, I soon expanded into online notary work by becoming an eNotary in April 2019. This step gave me greater flexibility to serve clients both statewide and beyond, using secure online platforms like OneNotary.com, Proof, and Secured Signings.
In 2024, I rebranded my company to Premier Notary & Apostille Services. As my business grew, it became clear that I could offer a wider range of services, and I wanted the company name to reflect that. One of the most significant additions was my Apostille & Authenticated Services, which saw explosive growth—particularly with same-day Apostille services. The demand grew so fast that I often think back to my first 10 Apostille orders and reflect on how true the saying “You never need a Notary until you need a Notary!” really is. Quick, reliable, and professional service has become the cornerstone of my business, and I’m proud to meet that need every day.
By continuously learning and adapting, I’ve been able to specialize further, especially with the launch of Apostille & Authenticated Services in 2022. This allowed me to assist with international document certifications. My latest venture involves tapping into the growing cannabis industry, where I provide notarization for cannabis-related documents—an exciting new field that continues to expand.
This year, I also added another service as an Immigration Specialist, which has opened up a whole new world of opportunities. I now receive clients from diverse ethnic backgrounds, something I never thought would happen. To ensure that language is never a barrier, I’ve begun using Google Translator to communicate with many of my clients and their families. This experience has reinforced the importance of accessibility and inclusivity in my work.
Today, I am proud to say that Premier Notary & Apostille Services offers comprehensive services sought after by lawyers, title companies, and individuals who need reliable and efficient notarizations. It has been a fulfilling journey, and I’m excited to keep growing, always driven by the goal of serving my clients with the same professionalism and dedication that brought me to where I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road has been anything but smooth, but the challenges have made the journey even more rewarding. Like many entrepreneurs, I’ve faced my share of struggles, especially in the early days of launching Premier Notary & Apostille Services. One of the biggest challenges was building a client base from scratch. Marketing myself and my services effectively with limited resources felt daunting, and there were times I questioned whether my efforts would pay off.
Another hurdle came with the rapid expansion of my business. As I introduced new services, like online notary and Apostille & Authenticated Services, I had to stay on top of changing regulations, emerging technologies, and shifting client expectations. Balancing the need to continuously learn with the demands of running a growing business wasn’t always easy.
Managing the administrative side also became increasingly complex—tracking payments, scheduling appointments, and handling client communications were time-consuming tasks. There were moments when the operational load felt overwhelming, but embracing technology like Notary Gadget and Square helped streamline these processes.
When I added services in the cannabis industry and became an Immigration Specialist, I faced new learning curves. Serving a more diverse clientele, particularly in the immigration space, introduced language barriers I hadn’t anticipated. However, using Google Translator to communicate with clients has helped me overcome this obstacle.
Through all of these struggles, I’ve gained valuable insights and grown stronger as a business owner. The challenges have made me more adaptable, resilient, and better equipped to serve my clients. Every difficulty has ultimately been a stepping stone on the path to success, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My journey has been deeply shaped by the mentors, supporters, and cheerleaders who have walked alongside me, offering guidance, wisdom, and encouragement. I owe a great deal of my success to these incredible individuals, and I am profoundly grateful for their influence in my life. Two women who have been especially impactful are Adonica Banks and Maria Stewart.
Adonica and Maria are both serial entrepreneurs, navigating the complexities of multiple businesses with remarkable resilience and vision. Beyond being respected professionals, they have been dear friends of mine for years, consistently supporting me both personally and professionally. Maria, in particular, and I share a unique history. We worked together at a pivotal point in our careers, and through that experience, we built a solid professional bond based on trust, respect, and a shared drive for success.
Working alongside Maria taught me countless lessons—not only about business, but about perseverance and leadership. Her ability to lead with empathy while driving results inspired me to push my own boundaries. Over time, our professional relationship blossomed into a deeper friendship, and Maria has remained a steadfast source of advice and encouragement.
I met Adonica on Facebook through a notary group. At the time, I was looking for a mentor in the St. Louis area and posted in the group. Adonica reached out, and while I initially asked her to mentor me, she told me, “Nope, just take me to dinner from time to time.” That became our tradition, and whenever I have a question, she always makes herself available—but let me be clear, she doesn’t just hand out answers. She makes me work for it, and I’m forever grateful for that tough love.
Both Adonica and I were signing agents, notarizing real estate closing documents. There were many times I needed advice, and she was always there, even during those late nights when we’d both end up at the airport to drop off documents at UPS or Fedex. She pushed me to grow and learn the hard way, and that’s shaped the notary I am today.
Inspired by her, I decided to pay it forward. Each year, I mentor one or two women who are also interested in becoming notaries. That’s when I realized that there are a lot of notaries out there who make ton of mistakes—always running late, overcharging, providing poor service, or simply not showing up. I’ve taken it upon myself to help others improve and uphold the professionalism that this industry demands.
Without a doubt, these amazing women—Adonica and Maria—deserve a huge amount of credit for my growth and the success of Premier Notary & Apostille Services. They’ve been my sounding boards, my challengers, and my biggest supporters.
