Today we’d like to introduce you to Lillie Kane Meakim.
Hi Lillie Kane, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
We all have a story and reason behind our motivation. Unfortunately, my childhood was filled with constant visits from the police, rape, and verbal abuse. My father left when I was too young to remember. Meanwhile, my mother was addicted to drugs and alcohol, bringing random men into my home each weekend. I grew up in a verbally and physically abusive household, which made me stronger and passionate to find my freedom. I moved out of my home at the age of 16 and shortly after became an emancipated minor. After legally being granted my freedom, I became more determined to find deeper truths to life and embrace each and every day.
With that being said, I have found that without health, it is hard to be happy and enjoy all the things life has to offer. I ended up becoming a Certified Health and Nutrition Life coach and social media influencer. I am a Youtuber who provides free content to people all over the world with “What I Eat in a Day”, recipes, and other informational videos. I also offer one-on-one coaching to help people reach their health and life goals.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been many struggles along the way but I like to focus on all the positive people and events that have changed my life forever. There will always be tough days, people who try to beat you down, and “unlucky” random events that will come along but I try to focus on the good. The more happiness, smiles, and positive energy I put out to the world, the easier it is to wake up excited for the day and the better life becomes.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I have a Youtube channel called Lillie Kane where I interview doctors and other health care providers with the goal to learn more ways to live the longest, healthiest, best-quality life. I have other videos with recipes, fitness routines, and “What I Eat in a Day” videos. The thing that separates me from other health gurus is I am not trying to convince anyone to eat a certain diet because I do not believe there is one best universal diet for everyone and I am actually more passionate to bring a smile to people’s days. Many of my videos are about eating a keto or carnivore (all meat) diet because I have found so much health with this way of eating, but I really just like to bring people hope that there is health and happiness out there for everyone.
While my Youtube videos and other social media content are free and can be accessed by everyone, I do offer one-on-one coaching for those looking to have an individual conversation whether it’s about diet, exercise, finances, relationships, spirituality, or other aspects in life.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Whoever is happiest is the winner! To me, waking up excited to start the day and knowing you are bringing joy to others is how I define success.
