Hi Brande, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
Some say the apple doesn’t fall from far from the tree. In my case that is exactly what happened. My mom was the most beautiful sexy and caring person I know. She loved wearing designer perfume. She would often give bottles to others. I would sneak and wear her fragrances while in high school. Fast forward 20 years later she was given the name perfume lady because she began to sell authentic designer fragrances from the trunk of her car until she passed 2013. Her clients reached out to me and asked if I would continue her legacy. At first I said no I was afraid. I didn’t feel adequate she had pretty big shoes to fill. However, I pushed through the fear and decided to do it afraid. I already had a consistent audience waiting. I felt this business fell in my lap. Selling perfume became my hobby.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes it has come with challenges. However. I understand that nothing in life worth having doesn’t come with challenges and sacrifice. My degree is in Communications which is cool however, I believe having a Business Degree would have given me more balance or leverage if you will. I’m also a believer of God that whom he assigns he also equips . That really push to move in spite of what I lacked. Setting up a website gave me the blues because Iike most you want it to be perfect. Well, with the help of my friend we launched the website May 2021 flaws and all. I learned you will never know what the other side is like until you move beyond where you are right now. So many important business essentials I overlooked such as finding your target market, preparing a marketing budget, understanding web traffic and SEO search engine optimization. I winged it with the help of social media. I’ve updated my site 3 times since I launched. I will be forever coachable.

I sell authentic designer perfume on my on line perfume boutique scentsforlessbybrande.com. I offer on hand fragrances that can be shipped anywhere in the United States within 24hours. I can order and ship within 2-5 business days of payment being received. After my 9-5 pm job I work on my business.. I understand that when you smell good you feel good. I offer several payment options including Sezzle where my customers can get their signature scent and pay in installments. When the barrier of having a desired product is removed , products are made affordable, and extended payment options are available that sweetens the deal.

I am an encourager by nature. I genuinely care about others and want to help and share my resources for the betterment of others. Working craft and vendor events allow me to engage with other small business owners and form a connection where we share and refer others.
