Today we’d like to introduce you to Carson Smith.

Carson Smith

Hi Carson, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, I was always surrounded by some aspects of real estate. Many family members, including my grandparents, cousins, and aunt, were realtors. A large majority of them owned and managed properties as well. Because of this, careers in real estate were always something I was aware of but had not considered for myself. Eventually, fate led me to start working as a broker assistant at the brokerage where I currently work. I assisted the agents and our brokers in auditing sale contracts, coordinating transactions, and helping with their marketing. This gave me invaluable real-world experience and laid a foundation of knowledge that would be beneficial when I started as an agent. While working as a broker assistant, I developed a passion and interest in real estate that I had never previously had. Like many of my family members, this eventually led me to obtain my salesperson’s license. I have developed a true love and passion for my career as a realtor. I am truly fortunate to be a part of the process and help people make a vital decision that may spark a new chapter in their lives, whether relocating to a new city, buying a first home, moving to start a family, or even investing in income-producing properties. I am delighted to help my clients successfully navigate one of the largest financial obligations they will ever make as smoothly and stress-free as possible. So far in my career, I have had several successful closings and many incredibly pleased clients. My journey in real estate has been incredible, and I am eager to continue writing this story, one home at a time, with unwavering dedication and passion. Every day, I wake up excited to face new challenges and meet new clients, each with their unique dreams and aspirations. I look forward to the countless opportunities to impact people and help them find their ideal property.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
There were certainly some challenges and struggles that I encountered. Initially, when I became a realtor, I had to adjust to the lifestyle that comes with it. This meant always being on call to be available to my clients, working odd hours to secure contracts and ensure closings, and constantly being on the move. Transitioning from being a 9-5 W2 employee, this adjustment was indeed challenging. Not to mention, the shift from a salaried position to a solely commission-based income was intimidating at the start. Another challenge I faced was finding how to achieve a proper work-life balance. I work incredibly hard on my real estate business for my clients, and I genuinely love doing it. As much as I love working, it was a challenge to find a way to effectively balance both my work and personal life to ensure success in both.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with what you do?
As a realtor, my specialization lies specifically in residential properties. I work extensively with first-time homebuyers, and this September, I am excited to host a first-time homebuyer seminar to guide the public through the home-buying process. While my primary focus is first-time buyers, I also work with sellers, repeat buyers, and investors. I take the most pride in witnessing how my work positively impacts others. I am dedicated to supporting and protecting my client’s best interests throughout the process, ensuring they secure the best possible deal.

Moreover, the real reward for me is seeing all the hard work put into a deal pay off at closing and witnessing the sheer happiness it brings to my clients. This brings me an immense sense of pride in my work. What sets me apart from others in my profession is my meticulous attention to detail, genuine personality, relentless work ethic on behalf of my clients, and genuine care for their needs.

What’s next?
I have a clear plan for the future: I intend to continue growing my real estate business and honing my skills as a realtor. In due course, I plan to acquire my broker’s license, further enriching my knowledge and expertise in the field. Looking ahead, I may even consider forming a team, where I can mentor and guide aspiring buyer’s agents to success. For the present, my focus is on constant improvement. I aim to be a better realtor and person than I was yesterday, consistently pushing myself to work harder and smarter with each endeavor.
