Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberlyn Rush.
Hi Kimberlyn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
During COVID-19, I was forced to leave my job, leaving me unemployed and lost. I decided to start my journey of becoming an entrepreneur. I used my last money from my final paycheck to invest in myself and purchase my LLC. I even had more time to invest in my YouTube channel! I guess you could say Covid-19 was a blessing in disguise for me. I officially started my businesses in April of 2021. (Shopkimboskreationsllc) and (Kimboskreationseats).
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! Going into entrepreneurship is an extremely bumpy road. By jumping into owning my own business I had to learn a lot of things on my own. Nobody tells you about how the slow months affect you, or how much work it is just to stay active every day. I had to figure it out on my own! As an entrepreneur, I learn something new every day. I believe if you’re strong enough to get back up after you fall and are willing to learn new techniques, there’s nothing you can’t accomplish.

I have many social pages, I aim to have something different for everyone to love. My main page @theyluvvkimbo is a place where you can really see me and my personality. I am an influencer and content creator and I love what I do! I have a YouTube channel where I post very frequently. I record vlogs, challenges, food videos, hauls and so much more! My YouTube channel is Kimbo Love. I specialize in being a positive influence on my supporters and subscribers. I’d say I’m known most for my vlogmas series, clothing hauls, food videos and girl talks over on my channel. What sets me apart from others is my individuality. I call myself a hidden gem sometimes because when you discover me, you instantly fall in love. I also have two business pages on Instagram called @shopkimboskreationsllc and @kimboskreationseats. Shopkimboskreationsllc is an online clothing and aesthetics store. You can find unique clothing, accessories and aesthetically pleasing pieces at affordable prices! Kimboskreationseats is a “foodspiration” page made with love! I create food for people to try and enjoy. I am most proud of my growth! Being an entrepreneur has been a lifelong dream of mine. I don’t aim to do anything like anyone else, I just do me and have fun while doing it.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is being able to do what I love and make others happy while doing it. I love positivity and uplifting others so anytime I’m able to do that I am happy. What also makes me most happy is my mother and my boyfriend. They’re so supportive of everything I do and I appreciate them. I truly believe having someone on your team who believes in you takes you so much farther than you think. Another thing that makes me happy that not a lot of people know about is my love for painting, gaming and roller-skating. I do this a lot in my free time and it brings me peace when the world gets too overwhelming.
