Today we’d like to introduce you to LM Flowers.
Hi LM, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstories.
I begin my work day by sipping heated water, checking emails, and responding. Then usually, I work on any illustration or art ad pieces that need to be worked on.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In business, most struggles are solved by having enough capital.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I love functioning as an illustrator / graphic designer for my authors. Although I have a great team in that I can delegate things, I also wear all the hats, from editing to illustrating to rewrites. As a graphic designer, I enjoy creating book covers and formatting any art into a manuscript. And as an illustrator, I genuinely love creating the art that accompanies a writer’s storyboard for their children’s books and graphic novels. The thing I am most proud of that sets us apart is that although we don’t limit what we publish, we specialize in publishing art books. And as an artist-teacher through a partnership with Contemporary Art Museum teaching students at Vashon HS here in St Louis, MO, a curriculum from my company titled “How to publish an Art Book.”
Who else deserves credit for your story?
My team deserves every credit for their amazing work!!
