Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Key.
Hi Ashley, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
After spending time in property management and working as a developer, I decided to transition into residential sales. My business started with a large brokerage, and I’ve found my home with Palmer House Properties, now Elevate Realty. I worked with Internet lead providers to start my business; no two deals are the same, allowing me to learn so much at a breakneck pace. I’m thankful to now work on a referral basis. I specialize in new construction and listing homes for sale. I’m proud to provide detailed support to the families we work with. There was a time when I thought I wanted to be everywhere and work with as many families as possible. Still, I now realize building intentional relationships and working with a few families at one time allows me to be a better service provider to our clients.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
Building my business has a challenging task. Developing a business during a hot market and developing the skills to keep deals together was a skill I had to hone. As an active member of my community, and a mother of three, there have been times I’ve needed to make sacrifices to build my business, but I can say without a doubt I don’t regret any of the choices I have made. One of the toughest decisions I had to make was resigning from my position as vice president of my local Habitat For Humanity affiliate. I spent years serving this organization near and dear to my heart. I look forward to becoming more involved again one day.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a local realtor with an awesome team I work with daily. We are an entire service team assisting clients from one chapter to the next, and I am especially passionate about helping families sell their current homes or build their dream home through new construction. We have amazing partners in title, Insurance, inspections, and lending that we work with regularly. We pride ourselves on being detailed and transparent with the families we serve. Still, we are flexible and willing to work with other providers if that is the client’s preference.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We are so incredibly blessed to live in the St. Louis area! First and foremost, I am grateful for our phenomenal medical community right here and in our backyard. One of my Littles had a congenital disability, and had we not been so close to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, I’m not sure we would be where we are today. Our family loves the diverse culinary community. We have throughout our city along with the beautiful parks we to explore. Our love for this city is truly endless! I’m grateful to see our city through new eyes often as we work with families relocating to the St. Louis area; however, this does occasionally mean seeing the parts of our city that still need to improve. This includes balanced and affordable housing for all in neighborhoods built around a strong sense of community.
