Daily Inspiration: Meet Brittanie Goldsby

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittanie Goldsby

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Here’s a personalized response in a friendly, first-person tone:

My journey has always been fueled by creativity, curiosity, and a deep love for storytelling. From a young age, I was drawn to the power of sound and visuals—how they shape narratives, spark emotions, and connect people. That passion led me to found **Speaker Leaks**, a platform dedicated to amplifying voices in audio engineering and media. Through Speaker Leaks, I began shining a light on the unsung heroes behind the scenes—those who shape the way we experience music, film, and culture.

That same drive pushed me to create **Beyond the Mix**, a documentary that started as a personal passion project but quickly became something much bigger. It’s my love letter to sound, storytelling, and the people who bring it all to life. This film is a gift to myself but also to the world—a chance to highlight the artistry and technical mastery of audio professionals who often go unnoticed.

As I continued to build on these projects, I found myself drawn to something even more personal and community-driven. That’s where **314ward** comes in—a new collective that represents the heartbeat of St. Louis. Through 314ward, I’m not just telling stories; I’m creating a movement that blends art, culture, and entrepreneurship. We’re building something meaningful, from apparel that represents our city to initiatives that uplift local voices.

Now, I’m gearing up for our next big series, **The Heart of the Arch**, which will dive even deeper into the stories that make St. Louis special. This series is about celebrating the resilience, innovation, and creativity of the people who shape our city—those who, like me, have a vision and won’t stop until they bring it to life.

Beyond all of these creative endeavors, my personal mission remains the same: to tell stories that matter, to amplify voices that deserve to be heard, and to create spaces where art and technology intersect in meaningful ways. Whether through film, marketing, or community-building, I’m always looking for the next way to push the boundaries and leave an impact.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been efficient—every challenge has sharpened my vision and made me more intentional. With Speaker Leaks, I built from the ground up, learning how to advocate for audio engineers while making people care about an often-overlooked industry. Beyond the Mix pushed me to be resourceful, navigating independent filmmaking’s challenges while trusting the right people and opportunities would align. 314ward is more than a brand—it’s a movement, and building something that truly represents a city takes time. Now, with The Heart of the Arch, I’m continuing to refine my approach, balancing creativity with execution. It’s never been easy, but I don’t need it to be—I just need it to be worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work is all about storytelling, strategy, and impact. I create, amplify, and connect—whether through film, marketing, or community-driven projects. At the core, I specialize in bringing overlooked narratives to the forefront and making sure they reach the right audience in a way that resonates.

I’m most proud of the fact that I don’t just start projects—I see them through. Everything I build has meaning behind it, and I make sure it’s done with authenticity. What sets me apart is my ability to blend creativity with strategy. I don’t just tell stories—I position them in a way that sparks action, builds community, and creates long-term impact. I know how to take a vision, execute it, and make people care.

How do you think about happiness?
Creating something meaningful makes me happy. Whether it’s a film, a brand, a campaign, or a movement, I thrive on bringing ideas to life in a way that resonates with people. Seeing a project go from a concept to something tangible, something that sparks conversations or makes someone feel seen, is incredibly fulfilling.

Storytelling is a big part of that. There’s something powerful about capturing voices, perspectives, and experiences that might otherwise go unnoticed. That’s why projects like Beyond the Mix, Speaker Leaks, and The Heart of the Arch matter to me so much—they allow me to amplify stories that deserve to be heard.

I’m also happiest when I’m building community. Whether it’s through 314ward, collaborating with other creatives, or simply connecting with people who share my vision, I love being surrounded by energy that fuels growth and innovation. Seeing others inspired by what I do, or using my work as a catalyst for their own, reminds me why I started in the first place.

At the end of the day, I just want to create, connect, and leave something behind that has impact. That’s what keeps me going.
