Today we’d like to introduce you to Byron Bishop
Hi Byron, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a jazz recording artist and producer for twenty years, with 5 “Daddy B”, music projects released. The projects are, ” You Should’ve Known”, “Trinity”, “Blue Funk”, 3CD Set “Timbre” (Slow), “Timbre” (Medium), “Timbre” (Hard), “Colorology”. I am currently working with another 10 artists on a project called “Kairos”, helping them produce and release their sound to the world. For fun, I have worked as an actor doing mostly stunt roles in over 20 films, television, or reality TV.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not having enough time to do what you love to do is always a challenge. Many people place demands upon you that are difficult to accomplish, and this work also requires a great deal of funds to, and access succeed. But if you have people who understand your heart and believe in you, for me all things are possible through the Lord who strengthens me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
When I am not raveling ding music, I work for the Dept. of Civil Rights as the Equal Opportunities Division Manager. I and my team handle discrimination complaints for Employment, Housing, and Public Accommodations. I also am a professional Mediator, and I am very proud of the several people each year we get to help who are being taken advantage of by others.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I am a HIGH-RISK taker. The TIMBRE Music project was a high-risk project. After my three CD music project called “TIMBRE”, where the sounds of each CD are identified as (soft, medium, and Hard), The project goal was to map the frequencies of sound to the frequencies of color. Yes, we can determine wavelengths of light and sound as to what we may see and hear. I learned there is no exact science to the mapping of color to sound. The Initial origins are still unexplained or a phenomenon.
