Hi Amy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The impetus for Victory Men’s Health came because of a family member falling ill from an over-the-counter testosterone boosting supplement that caused liver failure. That journey ultimately lead my passion for men’s health. I wanted men to know they are allowed to want to take care of themselves.
My mission was to create a clinic where men felt comfortable about having conversations that have traditionally been closeted. Victory Men’s Health has achieved that and we are breaking down old stigmas that have been in place about testosterone, erectile dysfunction, prostate cancer, etc. By bringing this awareness, men can work towards a more consistent and proactive healthcare regimen for which they 100% deserve.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’m not sure any startup business is a smooth road! And if it was, I’m not sure the journey would be near as fun. Every once in a while when I get a moment to reflect back on the journey, honestly, some of the best memories are the obstacles and struggles because they ultimately lead you to where you needed to be. So, no, it hasn’t always been a smooth road but the obstacles have all come with the opportunity to learn and become better as an organization and as an individual. I wouldn’t trade it.
I think one of the biggest struggles with any business is hiring the right people. Hiring the right people takes time, it takes the right questions, and it takes a gut instinct. Hiring the right people is the ultimate key to success so, while it might be a difficult process, when you do make a good hire it is a great feeling! Our team at Victory is our greatest asset. Hands down.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I think networking can be done absolutely anywhere. You never know who is sitting next to you on the airplane or riding that elevator with you. A small interaction like that could open the door for a relationship with that individual. It isn’t about the number of contacts you have collected but the number of relationships you have built. Be genuine in that pursuit.
